Why is Xur Selling IB bad?
Please let me know why xur selling the icebreaker is bad? More people will have it during the raid therefore helping the team out... Oh you are not a snowflake anymore, big whoop.. The fact people are mad is stupid.

The only thing I don't like about him selling it is that I don't get the experience of "the happy dance" when it drops for me. I don't have the ghorn yet. So I still have that one to look forward to.

Edited by Swiftlock: 1/18/2015 9:07:52 PMSome people are concerned that EVERY PLAYER running around with one of the most powerful guns in the game may put the weapon at the risk of being nerfed when you have full fireteams of 3-6 Guardians breezing through PvE content with maxed out Ice Breakers. [i](Xur sold the Ice Breaker in the 5th week of Destiny, but less people bought it last time than this time)[/i] Of course, this pretty much won't happen with IB, but what really is cause for concern is the Gjallarhorn.

2 Replieswell loads of people play this game in order "to be better" than other people.. and this can only be obtained through better gear or higher levels.. since higher levels are only obtainable through armor gear, where sooner or later everyone will end, their only hope for being superior are weapons.. so if they are lucky on a drop they stylize the weapon to be the one and only holy grail and only those who wield it are worthy.. blabla.. or basically , they have no lucky happy real life..

someone buying it from Xur hasn't "earned" it any less than someone who gets it from a drop. you still have to "earn" the coins to purchase it. I have gotten exotics from drops and from Xur, both do the same thing, shoot enemies. if someone feels their multiple attempts to get it on a drop and didn't get it are more earned than buying it, you're worried about the wrong things. just play the game and have fun.

It's not bad. It's just annoying. In don't care what other players have or have any wish to keep anything from them. What gets to me occasionally is the way everything in this game is handled by bungie. Lots of us grinded for months to get to level 30. We ran the vault of glass for gear and guns. We ran weeklies for coins, hundreds of bounties to level our characters. After all this effort to aquire the things we have bungie goes and let's people buy gear to get to level 31. They let people buy guns we've struggled for for months. I helped a friend level a toon. Some of it was lucky drops in the raid but we got him from a fresh toon to level 31 in a day and a half. It's not the players fault for using what's been given to them in the game. It's bungie fault for not respecting the effort the players that have been here have invested into the game. The bottom line is they are catering to the casual players because $$$. They are giving them the gear they need to catch up and catch up fast to keep rhe interested. I'm not angry at the players, I'm not even really angry at bungie. It just seems that any effort in this game will mean nothing.

Honestly, it isn't bad. Now when I ask, "Who has an Icebreaker," I can be assured that almost everyone will, which is great for Raids.

For people like me who worked their ass off and obtained one the past couple weeks get booted from raid teams because it's not fully upgraded yet...

I think its awesome! I got one a few weeks back from the first chest on the crota raid, bought 2 more so each took can have one. I put in 1000 hours before I got my first icebreaker, feel like I earned the others just the same. Awesome weapon for everyone to have. Bungie is clearly prepping us for Crota's Hard Mode

Despite what anyone says, simply playing the game gives you the [u]opportunity[/u] to earn, whereas with Our you just wait for a bit and then he'll turn up with his army of filthy casuals. Weeklies are easy whereas Nightfalls and Raids aren't.

Who ever thinks is bad is very selfish. I got Ice Breaker within the 1st month of launch and wished more people get it because its great for Raids and strikes. Yes it felt good joining a random raid and strike lobby and hearing wow he got an icebreaker i want one so bad!! But I knew eventually Xur was going to sell it and is for the best. Hard Crotas end is coming soon and we need firepower

It's not bad. Like you said, the snowflakes no longer feel special. I have one, got it in a nightfall back in October. My son has wanted it since he saw it, so have many of my friends. I can't tell you how happy I am for all of them, and everyone else who was finally given the chance to posses this beauty. If you're one of the people that just got his first 'breaker, then congratulations! You're gonna love it! The only thing that pisses me of about it is when I get stuck on a crucible team with three jack-holes all trying to snipe with their non-upgraded new toy on Firebase Delphi.

It isn't bad. He's already sold it which means it isn't rare. It's actually the most common exotic in the game and I can back that up with a poll that 7,000 people took part in. Yes that's right, it's the most owned exotic in the game.

I'm honestly pretty happy he sold it. One of the people I run with constantly have been grinding relentlessly for IB since the first time it was sold and they were short coins.

I bought it the first time, leveled it up, and then it was the first exotic I upgraded. And upgraded again. Maybe NLB will be the rarest sniper now. Lol

I agree strange coins have one use and its to buy exotics. IB is a great gun for people who want to do raids. I had it the first time it came out and when others got it i begged for it to come back so they can be great help who cares if u "earned" it. People earned those strange coins its theirs to do as the please and if u say "i quit cause he is selling icebreaker." Go ahead less people to cause problems i say
