Is Glasshouse worth it?
Xur is selling it again! In-depth info below.
Personally I like it, its ugly but enhancing Blessing/Weapons of light for 5 seconds is situational.

5 RepliesIf you are looking to contribute as a titan to a raid group you have three options: Saint-14 (defense). This helm blinds any enemies who enter into it. It is very good for things that swarm you. However, it is not a I-win button. For example, on the lantern level, the thralls still leap at you from the outside and will finish their swing at you despite being blinded. Notwithstanding, this is very, very good for defense. Ruin Wings (offense): This is burst offense. Sometimes more purple ammo than you can ever hope for drops, sometimes none drops. It is not reliable. Despite what people claim, it's RNG and you are subject to that. Additionally, many raid situations do not allow you much leeway to go searching for ammo packs. And even in a best case scenario, you are only increasing the amount of heavy that you yourself provide. Glasshouse (offense). This is non-burst, guaranteed DPS. It is not just your DPS that increases it is DPS x 6. The entire team. For fights like Atheon, Templar, Deathsinger, possibly Hard Mode swordbearers, this increased team DPS will be massive. All three options are viable, one option is universal (Ruin Wings), the other two vary by which fight you are in, but I would strongly recommend getting this helm if you can. Not to mention the INT on it is a really good roll. To put it in perspective. I had a fully leveled Saint 14 with a 108 INT stat, I paid the 7000 and a shard to get the 127 INT version last week despite having to relevel it. This Glasshouse is already near the top end.

2 RepliesGlass house is great. It just speeds up things just like all other items that are Boss. You get longer WoL and there for have longer increased damage to kill bosses. Helm of 14 is very good looking but beside that I find its perk not that great, maybe I'm using it wrong, but it just doesn't benefit myself and team as well as Glasshouse

I have all titan exotics to switch out for different situations. Get it. The only exotic I'm missing is Mk 23 stand asides I know xur sold them but I'm not to worried

1 ReplyI have every Titan helm. I find Glasshouse to be the most useful. Saint-14 has less uses than it, in my opinion.

Glass house sucks. I got it from a nightfall the first week after TDB dropped. It would be an exotic shard already if I didn't like collecting exotics...

I think its worth it. Since you already have Saint-14 then definitely get Glasshouse because you are already running defender. Saint-14 is good for situations where ads are constantly running at you but how often does the Templar, Atheon, Crota, etc... run into your bubble? So during the boss fights by switching to Glasshouse you are maximizing your bubble.

I like it for boss fights. I usually run s14 for normal encounters and then swap to glasshouse with weapons of light for bosses.

It's worth it. I'd say it's on the lower end of exotic helms for titans but if you don't have the others then just get it. Try it out.

2 RepliesI personally have the St -14, Glass House, and the raid helmet, and I find that the glasshouse does have useful moments. Specifically, i like to use it for the sword bearer during crota. I throw it up on the rock so we can get more damage on Crota, Even with a level 31 sword bearer if done correctly you can get the fight done in 2 swords this way.

I have both maxed out i love the Glass House but it came out at the wrong time it should have started out in the game already and the helm of Saint-14 should have been dlc. So pretty much what im saying is buy the glass house if you dont have a helm of Saint-14

Edit: Having multiple helmets for different situations should be your goal. If you are in the middle of 50 enemies then Saints 14's effect would be more useful. If your sniping far away enemies and you need to pump out more damage then Saints 14's effect are useless and Glasshouse would be more useful.

Yes yes yes. I love the glass house and I'm kind of pissed I can't use it more because I still haven't got the Raid boots. I have to run the stand asides (which are fun but not useful in the Raid) so I can reach 32 on my Titan.

I got mine in the NF first week of the DLC, and I've used it ever since. I think Helm of Saint-14 has a bit more of a dramatic effect, but if you don't have it and you play defender I'd say go for it.

Just bought glasshouse. Plan on using it with my defender and armamentarium with my striker.

I run glasshouse and helm of Inmost light. Glasshouse is an excellent defender helmet.

14 RepliesGlass house and saint 14 are the best titan helms IMO. Glass house might be a little more favorable to me but everyone's different. Definitely get the glass house if you don't have it though, anything to improve weapons of light is a beast.
