Does anyone know a good way to get motes of light?
An actually good way. I know strike playlist farming and public event farming are ok, but I don't know the rates and it would be great if someone could give me some idea of what they know works!

I have over 100 and for the last 3 weeks have had no reason to even need them, xur has not sold any engrams, other than him and the speaker selling dull emblems and class gear, they are worthless. I really wish bungie would offer something else that could be purchased with them. But what exactly do ya want/need motes for anyway? Just curious

Edited by Acey: 1/18/2015 6:04:47 AMPretty much what everyone else has said. The weekly Eris bounty to kill majors in the nightfall will get you 9 a week. Then just farming roc strikes and turning in blue engrams. I'm guess you're having bad luck with your iron banner weapon rolls?

Eris bounties on all characters. 9 per week. Just grab them before you do the nightfall.

Slayer, I'm s big fan if yours! The best way to get motes is grinding roc strikes and then decode all your engrams

Some Eris bounties have Motes as rewards. Otherwise, Motes come from XP after level 20. You can see your "progress until next Mote of Light" in your character menu screen.

Roc strikes is probably the quickest. Blue engrams are guaranteed reward and motes come out of them quite often

The best way to get motes is for Xûr to not sell an engram, or sell an engram for armor you don't need. 197 and counting.
