Am I GUARANTEED to get a Vex Mytloclast when I kill Atheon (Hard mode)?
I am planning to go raiding soon. Then try hard after. Just asking if the raid hard would be worth it when getting this beauty :P

No. Nothing in this game is guaranteed. It's all random. But defeating atheon is the only time where you have a chance at getting that gun.

No you're not guaranteed to get it. It has a very low drop chance and there's nothing you can do as far as I know to boost the drop rate. Just play through and good luck getting it!

2 RepliesI got one and I'll tell you the best way Put on your best gear Once your In the VOG take off the gear and put on gears that has no light Then play through the raid with only the gun you got from beating the game Once atheon is drop you'll be the only one with the VEX

9 RepliesYes and no. It is guaranteed to drop, but it is random who it goes to. Up to two people in the fireteam can get one per character per week. So, if someone has already done the vault, they can still be selected as the one to get it, but won't actually get it since they already got rewards that week. It will just go poof.

You must be new here... Which is no insult, it's just your uninformed. There is no guarantee of mythoclast. Prepare to be disappointed, I'm being honest with you. Rng hates all of us. If your on xbox one hit me up, I'll run it with you. I still don't got the mythoclast......

No you are not guaranteed, but I have seen increased drop rates in a fire team when someone has the vex. I've personally gotten 4 vex so far, I have a friend who has gotten over 10. So it might not be true, but it's what I've experienced

It's different for everyone. I was lucky enough to get mine within my first 6 victories but my buddy has literally run the VoG hundreds of times and just recently gotten one to drop. Of course most runs didn't drop because he had already received his loot drops, but he's been through and helped others through more than anyone else I've met. Don't take it personally, my buddy is a great player and deserved it long ago. It's not a test of your skill getting it to drop. Pure RNG...
