I read all these posts on how badass(I still want one) it is but I haven't encounter one in the crucible yet in pve I see it everyday.
Edit: Someone pointed out that my grammar is bad. Sorry about it, am still learning English.
Edit: Thanks everyone, got my answer
Thread can die now. Have a good day!

Some people prefer certain primary weapons for the exotic slot like Thorn, Suros, or Hawkmoon. I prefer Truth in the crucible as an exotic heavy myself.
-
The reason it excels in PvE over PvP is because in PvE its extra damage is important, whereas ANY rocket launcher does the same thing in PvP, although I have seen some cool multikills with its tracking rounds.
-
Because gjallarhorn is a PvE weapon, and any heavy machine gun has more kill potential then any rocket launcher in crucible.
-
Against all odds machine gun dominates even tho it only got 25 shots. Machine guns you can get way more kill with them. Truth for rocket launcher.
-
I do hehe
-
Because the vex suros truth last word thorn hawkmoon and icebreaker / patience and time are better and get used more than once every 3 minutes
-
Because it's a waste of an exotic slot when you only get at most 3 heavy ammo drops per match.
-
My reason would be for PvP machine guns>rockets. Pretty sure corrective measure is a preferred heavy weapon for PvP, at least it is for me.
-
If you're going to use an exotic RL in pvp, go with Truth. Aggressive Tracking and early detonation win everytime
-
Because Thunderlord

1 ReplyLol people that call out grammar are -blam!-in losers. If its to the point that it's illegible then ok. If you understand what Op is saying that quit being a douche. You're not clever because you spotted someone spelling something incorrectly.
-
The answer is because it would isn't that great in PvP. It doesn't track as well as truth, and the wolf back rounds won't kill a person by themselves, they have to go after someone who was already hit in the original blast radius. If the original shot kills everyone around like it should, then the wolfpack rounds do nothing, so it Perry much becomes a useless perk. This makes truth better, and puts g-horn on par with a butt load of other rocket launchers that are legendary. So for example, for PvP, the hunger of crota is EXACTLY like g-horn as far as what it ends up doing, but I don't have to waste my exotic slot on it, leaving me open to use thorn, or last word, or suros. The other reason is because heavy is so rare in PvP, its not ideal at all to waste your exotic slot on heavy anyway because its only gonna net you 3-6 kills max a game (usually less) whereas a primary or secondary exotic can net far more compared to a legendary in the same slot. In PVP, rockets are rockets, so the only real advantage any heavy exotic really has, is truth because it can track targets better.
-
Honestly I feel like most would rather use an exotic primary or secondary than a heavy.
-
1 ReplyTruth is way better in PVP than ghorn and its questionable to take up your exotic slot for a rocket launcher in the first place
-
I would rather equip a Machine gun than a rocket for the heavy slot, plus Pocket Infinity is all over the exotic slot, and the opponents... :-)
-
Wolfpack rounds are based on the initial damage done, so when normalized in crucible they don't carry the umph they do normally. That and the rocket blast generally kills what you're shooting at, making Wolfpack useless.
-
Because every launcher gets 1 hit kill and the thrut has beter tracking.
-
Beacause crucible is the only place truth out performs her.
-
1 ReplyBecause grammar.
-
Suros and thorn
-
I see people use gjally all the time. Even I use it sometimes.
-
3 RepliesPlease use proper grammar, thank you.
-
Because of vex
-
because if you're going to use an exotic rocket, it would make much more sense to use truth over ghorn
-
3 RepliesBecause nerf.

1 ReplyBecause suros.
