Edit: Hearing in other comments that destiny is the most disappointing game on multiple lists! How's it feel, bungie?
Edit2: I CHALLENGE the community to find a "most disappointing game of 2014"or "worst games of 2014" list that doesn't have destiny in the top 5
Edit3: All OPINIONS welcome

1 ReplyEdited by CuRsEdZx: 1/15/2015 5:10:48 PMIt is disappointing from what we expected and what they had told us about the game before it released... No doubt about that. Is it a BAD game? No. Was it disappointing? Yes.

1 ReplyWhy do I care what they think?
-
Spot on!!! Hope they spotlighted the trashy broken loot system again haha
-
Other places such as digital trends named it best of the year due to being so addictive and mechanically perfect. There's no other game that gets its hooks so far into players that they really can't stop playing. Everyone can see the shortcomings but everyone plays whenever they can.
-
Disapointing yes, I def agree with that. Worst game of 2014?, not at all and far from it.
-
1 ReplyThen don't play the game. Nobody is forcing you
-
1 ReplyI don't respect the opinions of "professionals" that play a game for a couple hours and judge what they think of it.
-
2 RepliesI find it interesting that many reviewers and people have this general consensus of Destiny: "This game could have been so much better. There could be more content, better loot systems, less glitches, more strikes, more cinematic, locked on disc content, stripped story content, etc. The game is such a disappointment. Now, please excuse me while I spend the next 300 hours playing Destiny and talking about it online." I think whether Destiny is a great game or a disappointment is all in how you look at the game. I for one enjoy it immensely and has been the game that has brought me back to regular console gaming.

1 ReplyDestiny is like crack its -blam!-ing terrible but you keep coming back

1 ReplyPraise the sun

2 RepliesWait, Dark Souls 2 was on their best and worst games of 2014. Something isn't right over there at Forbes.
-
1 ReplyThey showed us features for a year, and then launched the game without those features. If that's not a disappointment, what is?
-
1 ReplyDissappointing and worst are two different animals. I see arguments for dissapointing but not worst. Not even close.
-
1 ReplyFor your 2nd edit. Destiny didnt make it into angry joes list of the worst games 2014. destiny isnt a milestone in gaming history, we all know that :D but there are games that are worse. By far... The only difference is they didnt launched up such a massive hype train.
-
Way to suck Bungie, no one sucks as well. Congratulations, from all of us who got robbed pre-ordering your garbageness. Hope you all get the clap and your dog dies.
-
1 ReplyAnd I care why?
-
5 RepliesOut of curiosity what would you say in the best game of 2014?
-
It is the most disappointing game of 2014 but not the worst

1 ReplyEdited by munkt0r: 1/15/2015 4:50:43 PMWhen you take expectation vs result you often have a disparity that would imply a great loss. But when you consider the result (being what remains) you may have a good product still. For example, if I told someone "Oh man, you HAVE to check out Kuma Burger, it's literally the best burger you will ever eat. Celebrities go there and rave about. They have the best chefs in the country there! You will NOT be dissapointed" and I told you this for nearly a year. You get exceptionally excited and finally go, and end of the day it was just a good burger...well, you're going to be fairly disappointed. My point: it was still a good burger.

5 RepliesWait so why are you playing it
-
6 RepliesWell the game was seriously overhyped it was no where near halo good like people where hoping but it's still a fun game

3 RepliesEdited by jay p: 1/15/2015 4:54:39 PMDo you know why Destiny is on those lists? Because Destiny is an extremely popular game. These sites make their money on page views. They need you to click on them so they can pay their bills. Assassin Creed Unity was a disaster of a launch, and the game is still broken. But everyone knows that. No one clicks on a link that says ACU was a disappointment because nobody cares because its so obviously true. Destiny is incredibly popular, and, like anything popular, a decisive game. The people that like destiny will be inclined to click to read and disagree. The people that don't like destiny will click to have their feelings validated. This has nothing to do with the relative disappointment or lack of disappointment. This is purely a monetary decision.

Edited by Canthros: 1/15/2015 4:58:18 PMDestiny probably shouldn't be on anyone's serious list of "worst" games: it's not actually bad, just pretty mediocre. Destiny as one of the "most disappointing" games, though, is 100% defensible. They're different things, though.

8 RepliesMust of you are disappointing human beings so try not to be so judgmental. Put down the controller and work on your education, career, and body instead of putting so much stock into a video game. You may not be able to change the fact that you're a loser, but you can always change games.

2 RepliesTo the average person, heroine is the worst drug out there. To a heroine addict, it's the best drug ever.
