So according to Forbes, destiny is the most disappointing game of 2014. DISCUSS!
Edit: Hearing in other comments that destiny is the most disappointing game on multiple lists! How's it feel, bungie?
Edit2: I CHALLENGE the community to find a "most disappointing game of 2014"or "worst games of 2014" list that doesn't have destiny in the top 5
Edit3: All OPINIONS welcome
Edit4: We're trending and I'm seeing a lot of good debates, discussions, opinions and of course, delicious personal attacks at OP nom nom

22 RepliesI'm unsure why we're supposed to care. I don't let others decide what I do and don't like
-
1 ReplyDoes it really need a discussion?

4 RepliesDragon Age was very disappointing. "I'm gonna set the tank to taunt this guy and go back to my mage for the stun." *switches to mage* *tank runs away to attack a bear*

I think destiny is pretty -blam!-en awesome , the reason for me not thinking its so bad like many people say it is because i only knew about it with the the free beta that came out for xbox its was amazing i so i didn't feel like i was promised anything i only knew about this game a week or two before that actual game was released so i love this terrible mess people call destiny , yes i do agree the story was short and could have used more work :/ but it still like it :)

3 RepliesEh? People actually read that magazine? I for one have thought destiny to be one of the best games I have ever touched. It isn't perfect and my network makes some things impossible but that's the way it is with every game for me.
-
2 RepliesAll they need to do is fix the loot system and the games becomes at least an 8/10 if not 9 http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/91673268/0/0

2 RepliesThe Crew was a big disappointment for me. At least I come back to Destiny and have fun.

1 ReplyEdited by harrymfa: 1/15/2015 6:13:50 PMI don't need the weatherman to tell me it's raining out. But the whole list is right on spot. Watch Dogs in particular. Destiny could live to its potential if they fixed it.

10 RepliesThis only matters if you care what other people think of a game you love. Not like I'm going to stop playing because of someone else's opinion
-
Battlefield 4 (rubberbandfield) was the biggest fail of any game since driver 3 IMO Destiny is only a fail if you bought into the hype...
-
5 RepliesSince the new consoles have been out the developers have made many empty promises. It's not just Bungie, it's right across the board. Hopefully 2015 will offer better.
-
1 ReplyOuch! Not because Destiny is #1, but because 3/6 games I own on PS4 are on that list, and 2 of the 6 weren't from 2014. Sucks to suck.
-
6 RepliesFlaws? Yes. Spent more time on this title than any others for next gen? Yep. Looking for another good COOP for my wife and I? Yeah, but not to replace Destiny. Just as a stop gap when my weekly resets are complete.
-
1 ReplyI guess if you bought into the hype you were disappointed. However, if you have played games as long as I have you learn not to pay attention to the hype, hope for the best, and just enjoy the games or move on. Destiny has the best gameplay I've experienced and when combined with friends/others it is very enjoyable. Fear not if you pay attention to the hype, you will be disappointed again. It is the company's goal to sale some games after all.

6 RepliesZero Punctuations best and worst games of 2014 didn't contain Destiny in either list. That said, disappointing and rubbish are different things. I was disappointed I only got a remote control helicopter for my xmas and not a real chopper, I still have loads of fun with it...

5 RepliesNot this again. People. ERIK KAIN DOES NOT WRITE FOR FORBES. HE IS NOT THEIR EMPLOYEE. HE DOES NOT ABIDE BY THEIR JOURNALISTIC STANDARDS. THEY DO NOT ENDORSE HIS WORK. Did you read that? Read it again. I'll wait. Erik Kain is a blogger who uses Forbes to post his work as part of their Contributor network. He is not officially under their aegis, and his writing doesn't speak for their opinions. He's also been bashing Destiny pretty much since it launched. No surprise he still has an axe to grind. All this said, yes, there are still plenty of brutally evident flaws and poor decisions in Destiny, and we should certainly be talking about them civilly and with intent to improve the product. Erik Kain has nothing to do with that. I'm not trying to say he is a bad person or anything, but every time (I swear EVERY TIME) he writes anything about Destiny - always something negative - we get three or four posts in a day hovering around the Trending page proclaiming "FORBES SLAMS DESTINY" or similar nonsense. Erik Kain is not Forbes. He doesn't speak for them. He's a blogger they let write on the opinion pages. Let's keep it clear.

5 RepliesCHALLENGE ACCEPTED NUMBER TWO!!! https://www.yahoo.com/tech/the-5-worst-video-games-of-2014-105998039504.html
-
2 RepliesDestiny got hit by its own hype but its still one hell of a game and can only get better over time. First game in the FPS arena in a very long time that actually took the risk to make something different.
-
Forbes.... meh
-
I reserved that title for Watch Dogs. That game had the most overhyped marketing campaign. I still haven't finished the game. After two hours, the repetitiveness never ends!!!!!!!!
-
On some aspects, yes it's a disappointment... A great disappointment really but despite all that it's still fun to play and it has by far superior gun play
-
3 RepliesEdit 2 has been destroyed...I can accept and destroy your challenge all day if you want...
-
Didn't destiny win game of the year I'm not caught up on all that stuff but I'm pretty sure I heard that
-
1 ReplyYeah cause forbes is the go to source for anything game related.
-
Destiny is the best game of the year for sure
-
Forbes is such a joke. They thought dark souls was a bad game.
