• Negative, Bungie should've stuck with Microsoft rather than Activision. Like were they on drugs and thought "Activision is a great company to be partnered with!"

  • Mostly Activision's fault in my opinion.

  • I'm a bit disappointed in Bungie, they described Destiny as an epic legendary adventure in this huge growing open world setting. As fun as the game is (it is fun) I feel they missed some major opportunities especially in terms of storytelling. Plus the many technical issues the game suffers from doesn't inspire confidence. I do hope they pull it together soon!

  • I've been religously following Bungie since 2007, when I first bought Halo and Halo 2 with my first Xbox. I've loved every game they've made up until now, and it seems like in the last 2 or 3 years they've either fired or forced out many of their more important employees. This is speculation, but I believe that has led to a sharp decline in overall quality of their products and services. I don't think I need more proof than the odd path Destiny has taken. I know enough about programming and game design myself to know that there are things completely out of their control, but overall I think Destiny could have turned out better.

  • I'm glad bungie gave us Halo. I'm still playing rise on the Master Chief collection ( it's soooo bugged though). I won't say I hate Destiny. I will say it's been a disappointment... BUT until I find a better game that my wife and I can play together it will have to do. Waiting for release of Borderlands "Handsome Edition" on Xbox 1

If your reading this again feel free to comment again if you left something out or changed your mind after reading other posts.
In my opinion destiny is not my vision of what bungie is. Halo, my most favorite games since I was 4 is my vision of a bungie. Destiny's lack of story and material feels almost like a pay to play iPhone game. (Giving you a little each week so that you just have to keep coming back). Not to mention the fact that in order to even progress in the game I have to buy dlcs which then allow me to continue playing the game for what it is. It doesn't cost money to reach master prestige in COD or max level in Halo so why now is this acceptable? Bungie probably wont change any of this but just know that they missed out on creating a spectacular game for a little extra profit.

Their incompetence when it comes to balancing weapons is staggering... It causes so much cognitive dissonance...love Bungie, but I think they need to hire a 4th grader to help them with this issue. Pardon the ad hominem.

      • I'm gonna say no, because Activision has a BIG part of what's wrong with Destiny now... (Pay-to-play, such as new strikes, newer weapons, new raid, and etc.)

        • Being a Halo fan since Halo CE, Bungie kinda let me down with Destiny. The game looked promising but in the end it has missing elements like a good story, laggy matchmaking, netcode that seen betters days and a whole other bunch of other things. Hope they fix this before the One year anniversary or announce something on Bungie day.

          • So I got the game a little over a month ago, and I still do not have a lvl 30 (which isn't bad) but to this point, I have been impressed with all of the aspects of the game. Except for maybe the occasional BS loot or the irrelevant updates or lack of communication. However, the game itself has been a blast to play, and even with logging 2-3 hours a night - I am yet to get bored. Which is something I can not say for any other game I have had except Pokemon. Anyways, when you look at profiles and see people playing with over 1000 hours logged ( I saw that twice today) you know you have a fun to play game. And that's why it has made bungee very good in my eyes. (Commence dislike in the replies)

            • Why do we pay full price for the game and wait a year for content to unlock on Xbox one?????????????????? How about we not pay them until a year from release?

              • I'm assuming a lot of those negative responses are not actually directed at bungie. They're hate should be hitting the real Criminal here, Activision. They push the game out too early, causing countless bugs, and a new, much shorter storyline that's not as good as we all expected. They had to discard of the good one because they had nowhere near even half the time they needed. So they're trying their absolute best to do what they can to make the community get rid of this type of wrongly directed hate. The DLC strikes as nightfall and weekly, that's activision. They're taking away what we love doing so you have to pay money to do it. And it pisses most of us off. The CE raid being so buggy was because it was just shoved out like a developing child out of a moving car. They played it right when they did the hard raid release after the normal. But I'll be damned if activision didn't want you to have to pay for the hard raid. And I'll be damned if they didn't want all the vanguard weapons/ crucible weapons to require the DLC. Cause that's what they do. They're money whores. I love that bungie was able to realize a fantastic world with this game. And nobody seems to appreciate how much actually went into the game. About the preloaded disk content: You're telling me, that while you have some extra time, it's wrong to start working on things for the future so you don't have to then? That's just flat out stupid. They were trying to get a head start on some area creation so they could save themselves time to improve the DLC itself instead of just leaving everything bad and buggy. So instead of putting out shit DLC after shit DLC, they make sure things get done before their 'timer' starts. So in summary: Bungie has done so much to make this the absolutely amazing game they envisioned it as. Activision needs to go. They have done nothing really amazing for any developers besides give them money to make it, shove their label on it, and destroy the games community with excessive DLC that's un-needed. Ex: every COD in recent years. Countless money grabs. DLC character skins, DLC weapon skins, weapons, maps, hell GAME MODES. And that's why I hope that bungie drops the destiny 2 release and saves it. For at least 5 more years. That way, they can put out a large amount of content, keep their community satisfied, and make this wonderful masterpiece of a game franchise one of the most successful of all time. All they have to do is find either a new publisher, or hell, self publish the game. I have more hope, and reasoning behind that hope for this company than any other company in any industry. I trust that they will make the right decision here.

                    • The game overall is disappointing. Destiny is a AAA game with a big budget & it's widely known that it lacks content even compared to indie games. It's fun to raid & play with friends because the shooting & game mechanics are great but the game is glitchy as all get out and it becomes more frustrating. This game will definitely impact my decision to not pre-order games without reading more reviews & doing some research 1st. In today's age of technology you can even watch people Twitch a game and see if you'd like it. Just wish the story wasn't so broken, there was more content & things that actually need fixed were addressed, instead it feels like a shell of a game it should've been. Unfortunately it is a fun shooter but even that won't save it in the long run unless some of these things are fixed. For sure expected more from the makers of Halo

                      • Their complete and total lack of customer support has ruined my image of Bungie. I've never heard of a company not having a tip line to call. Or online chat. Or anything other than this public message board where they very rarely respond, if ever.
