  • Its change in today's gaming community that's how all the games are know and days with DLC so they have to adapt to the change or be left out of the loop. As for destiny as a hole. It's a great building stone for building this game from the ground up. Yes the story was chopped up and sucks but you can't say that the idea, gunplay, mechanics, and what to come next is going to be even better. Look at all the games that had multiple games after 9/10 times it was twice a good then the first that's what I think on the matter

    • I strongly feels Bungie is exploiting players tricking them to buy DLC with such great promises. Or forcing them to once it is released. Oh not to mention the lack of content before the DLC came out and paying the full price of a game for it

      • Negative but in "Bungie (halo)" defense bungie now isn't nowhere near the same team. It's just a name now in no way associated with halo bungie

        • People forget that Bungie is not the Bungie we knew. A lot of people stayed to make 343 and some from trey arch came over.

        • Negative, story butchered, trading absent, grind excessive.......but I'm still playing and I'll still play, because the gun play is great, the lore that is there points to a great universe, I think the problems that exist point to problems during development but I'm confident as the content cycle moves on an improvement will be evident.

        • Positive. Unlike most players here I paid attention to the bare minimum of what the game would offer upon launch instead of some hyped uncertainty. So I got what I was expecting. This company messes up in some major ways but I commend how we have these forums. I've never played a game with this big of a social component. so great that there's a chance a dev might reply to your post.

        • neutral because I see that bungie has vision and destiny has potential, and that is a postive, but since they repeatedly can't deliver on promises is a real negative

Negative. No clear story, basic functions missing that almost all games have (turn aim assist off, volume controls, and skipping cinematics to name some), and bugs that have been in the game since launch that apparently aren't a big deal to Bungie but Cthulhu forbid someone finds a way to cheese something, then they're on it in a heartbeat.

          • Negative. First time with a bungie game. paid for a chopped up story, small level increase and few more stories, RNG, vanguard n crucible mark caps ...eh whatever mainly I often have problems with server connection eg dropouts, voice NAT issues. Also bungie doesn't seem to respond very well to so many players feedback -_- very fun gameplay tho

          • Positive. I was glad to see they could come up with something new. When a Dev does one thing for so long it is nice when they break out of the mold. And while destiny has its fair share of problems it is no different than any other new IP. The first game is often a trial run, it is just a mix of their ideas. Now they can refine it and make it better. People seem to forget that Halo was the same way.

          • I'd played halo a bit but didn't own it and had never heard of bungie until destiny came out. 2 months later I bought the master chief collection, destiny is definitely an improvement

          • I love Bungie for Halo, but feel somewhat let down with Destiny. The actual gameplay mechanics are amazing and keep me hoping they will make everything else in the game better. I feel like they aren't really listening to their fans.

          • How could you possibly say negative? Lol - daily updates, weekly updates, beautiful visuals, great gameplay, solid DLC (could be better) - forums are solid, except for you whiny players. Lol, y'all should design/produce an open world game and see how ya do.

            • Negative. This game confounds me. Bungie has generally been good to their fans, but now it feels as if we've been sacrificed so Actibungie can make a quick buck. It looks like they put profit ahead of making a good game, which screws over not only customers but Bungie in the long run, because you've killed off most of the future Destiny 2 sales by bending us over.

              • Neutral for me. I wasn't an enormous Bungie fan before Destiny, just couldn't get into Halo for some reason. Only got Destiny because a few of my buddies had already picked it up and wanted a decent multiplayer game again. Really, the game is about what I expected it to be. A company who excelled in FPS games makes a game with excellent gunplay - fancy that. That being said, the "MMO-ish" aspect is still new to them; expecting a pristine level/grind/economy system simply is not realistic. The story (or lack thereof) is a consequence of internal strife and I don't think properly reflects their potential. Destiny isn't awful. People constantly exclaim it is, yet they have days or weeks of time logged. It also is far from perfect; only the core of the gameplay really seems to have been nurtured during development. I'll approach Destiny 2 with both interest and apprehension, and wait to read reviews just as I did for the original.

              • Ive been saluting bungie since halo CE , destiny is a dissapointement but doesn't reflect what bungie is capable of. Especially with the halo series! They were amazing! Activision is to blame for this

                • Bungie was once a company we all trusted and gave the benefit of any doubts, but in just a few short months of releasing their first non microsoft published game in a decade, they have done everything and anything Microsoft would not have allowed. over a decade of global goodwill has been burnt through in just months. what a total waste of a reputation.

                  • The games Destiny and Warframe share similar conceits, but vastly different approaches to community interaction. The Warframe developers: Digitel Extremes, have WEEKLY LIVE shows with their players where questions get asked and answered, and upcoming events/Free DLC's get previewed. The Warframe Developers are Center Stage EVERY other week with LIVE shows where the DIRECTLY ANSWER Warframe players questions and concerns. Bungie's PR strategy with their VERY FRUSTRATED and DIMINISHING fans seems to be : Shut Up, Go -blam!- Yourselves. We will tell you whats best for you...we are too busy at the moment buying Diamond Dildos to Shove up our ASSES, out of the Money you Wasted on this half baked Turd. Prediction: Warframe will be going Strong in 10 years, while Bungie will go the way of THQ.

                    • I used to hold Bungie in the same regard as Nintendo. They were untouchable. Now, like Nintendo, they make completely baffling decisions that seem to go against their pedigree. I like their game, but I could never recommend it to a new player. Never thought I could say that about a game from the folks at Bungie.
