Has Destiny influenced your opinion of Bungie?
No right or wrong answer or reason. [b]Please explain your answer [/b]whichever it might be because it is very interesting to see...

1 ReplyI'm not really sure actually. I know a lot of hard work was put into Destiny, and there was originally supposed to be a lot more...and I mean a LOT! But a lot was striped from the game to be given to use later. I chose to believe this was Activisions doing. But that dose not excuse all the Error codes, Glitches/Exploits, and slowly brought updates that are supped to fix these things. But on the other hand what we do currently have is really fun (besides the issues obviously) and I am excited to see Destiny expand and become a better franchise as it grows and hop full learns from it's mistakes. I have all ways loved bungie, and now they have handed me smithing new that's is simply Disappointing AND Excitingly fun/awesome. Destiny has much hope. I chose to not move bungie up nor down from where they stand for me. But I hope they try to keep claiming. Or thy might drop.

I never played Halo, so I never had an opinion and I don't now. They do good things and they do bad things. I think they're still trying to get into their groove with this type of game.

Edited by Dethsoul: 2/5/2015 12:25:56 AMI have more of a negative view for Activision rather than Bungie, after finding out a little about what had happened after Destiny's main developer left for undisclosed reasons. We still don't know what really went down, wtf happened that led to us receiving this cadaver of a video game. I would like to blame Activision for this, but it's not like Bungie is reaching out to its fans to clear up any misunderstandings. Maybe they are kept under a gag order?? I don't know. So i remain mostly neutral, but this definitely has been the last straw for me in trusting big game developers/companies.

Bad servers If I've been playing since a week after release, and it must really suck for Christmas noobs to get exotics as I still don't have red death, and universal remote (Xbox user so I don't even have the PS4 exotics). ^basically RNG blows when it's that hard get stuff.

Rather than influencing my opinion on Bungie, it has strengthened my opinion on how Activision is just a money-hungry corporation that cares nothing for the fans.

I vote neutral because although destiny is an great game it can become rather taxing when you've been stuck at lvl 26-28 for months never get enough drops to reach your next level and gets very dissapointing when you get a legendary engram that ends up being materials or strange coins or motes of light which are pretty pointless till the weekend. but saying that destiny is great and hope they can sort all the bugs out to make this game a god among games.

I wasn't exactly happy about their decision to go with Xbox for Halo after supporting them for 8 years. So I missed out on Halo entirely until last year. I'm happy to have a Bungie game to play again. All of their games feel like spiritual successors to Marathon, so that amuses me. Destiny definitely wasn't all if hoped, even though I never really paid much attention to the pre-release hype. I was expecting more of an MMO, which was my own fault for making assumptions. For what it is, I do like Destiny so long as I have people to play it with. It's not quite so engaging solo. So all in all, it's not impressive enough to bring back my '90s enthusiasm for the company, but it didn't turn me away from them either.

Used to be one of my favourite and most respected game devs. What they have done here... Hard to excuse. I won't preorder games any more after this.

Im sure its just me; but it feels as though they have lost their souls. The original ideas of this game were prlly squashed buy corporate executive types :(

2 RepliesIts change in today's gaming community that's how all the games are know and days with DLC so they have to adapt to the change or be left out of the loop. As for destiny as a hole. It's a great building stone for building this game from the ground up. Yes the story was chopped up and sucks but you can't say that the idea, gunplay, mechanics, and what to come next is going to be even better. Look at all the games that had multiple games after 9/10 times it was twice a good then the first that's what I think on the matter
