Why are most raiders assholes?
I was using my Lvl 29 Hunter alt character trying to get him raid ready, I post the forums asking if anyone would run with me knowing my level , I join a group all Lvl 31 who tbh didn't know what they were doing, I walked them through the thrall section, didn't die once although most of them did, then we get to the bridge section, I then. Again explain how it is done, I say I will go over 3rd as my level was to low for taking the gatekeeper out, without me getting one shotted so I would need one of them to take the sword and finish him off for me , the 3rd attempt after wiping they eventually did what I'd asked, I held my own mostly killing both ogres and other hive , then it comes to rewards and I get booted before receiving them as I'm too low a level to carry on and IM slowing THEM down.....in their own words, I hope you all got energies assholes
Edit: Cheers guys nice to see most of you are helpful and agree, it's about the quality of play not the level, think I'm just bitter about the whole thing, last time I help New raiders for a while
Edit 2: Nice to see most people see where I'm coming from, I'm getting a lot of why raid when your 29 just grind to 30, iv been playing since day 1 have a Lvl 32 titan as my main and il say again this is an alternate character, so what if I wanna raid at 29 to level than spend countless hours grinding for vanguard gear, having a level 29 in a raid tem that knows what they're doing isn't a hinderance like a few of you think, iv carried 28's through, even if they do no damage what's the harm in helping someone level up and enjoying the game for a change
Edit 3: Well thanks for the support guys, I will be purchasing the Hunter helmet from Xur later which will get me close to 31, so anyone wanted a raid partner feel free to add me bhughes91 on PS4, very experienced and will now be doing serious damage (;

Ive had one dick raid team who kicked me for opening the resources chest in the VOG that gives spirit bloom Other than that, ive had this awesome raid team, really hwlpful too

That ONLY stops when i'm teaching new people how to do certain sections and three hours later we still have not gotten past it. not because of wipes, but because they refuse to do what I have instructed them NEEDS to be done to finish that section. My patience has limits. Even still I will normally just mute myself, scream a bit, hit my punching bag a few times, and just try again. I don't kick people unless they are actively annoying others in the group.

Cuz we are conditioned to people not knowing what they are doing and most people don't own up to being naive about tactics and instead insist they know what to do and get butt hurt when we tell them they are doing it wrong

Most time raiders are synonymous with elitist douche. Most games that provide raids arw littered with them. Find your group and stick with them

That means you'll have SERIOUS damage penalization when you get there, and you'll end up being carried by your team. It doesn't matter how good you think you are, you'll end up being carried. There is no excuse for not being lvl 31 right now.

I did the same with my hunter when he was lv 29, took 3 hours to get through vog with lv 31 and such. Half try and speed run and fail

If it were our group, there'd be lots of -blam!-ing around and wiping just because we were laughing our asses off and didn't pay attention to the area. Last raid, we were contemplating trying the new cheese and shootin the shit while trying to get the first chest to spawn. Don't know how or why, but a few of us just started wandering through the abyss and eventually we just started to try the full thing without cheesing or using a hunter to blade dance through (I usually bladedance through to the end real quick). Needless to say, none of us were taking it seriously and -blam!-ing around the whole section. Lots of deaths and "Leroy Jenkins", but it took us one try (surprisingly...none of us could believe that we made it all th way through, lol). The most fun Ive had in the raid.

14 RepliesYou are worthless. Maybe a shred of utility to that point, but you would be worthless on the death singer and worthless on crota. 29? You do 90% less damage and take 90% more. You would be one shotted by anything and might be able to kill a thrall with a rocket. A damn level 31 can't even one hit melee a lvl 32 thrall. Why would you even play the raid? There is virtually no reason to to still be 29 at this point.

Wtf? Ive carried friends who were 27s and they have done the same for me when i was a 27. The hardest part in this game is finding good friends. And not just good friends, but friends who learn things as you do. You know you have good friends when you can be in a party chat and everyone be on different games and you all still have fun just talking. When it comes to raids, you have to help eachother. Talking and communicating isnt hard. Granted, pulling low lvls thru it isnt fun, or easy but its all in who u play with. Turn that fireteam chat on and see if you can find a good group.

Dont raid with people like that. My clan has fun on raids. We get them done. Just funny shit happens on the way. People die and we wipe but nobody gets pissy. If they do I dont raid with them again.

I definitely see where Ur coming from. I haven't done the raid 100 times or anything but I've done it enough that I led a team of ppl that haven't done them all the way through both and I would rather do that then play with a group of pros. Much less pressure, more relaxed. I have pretty much decided I'm not playing raids with random ppl anymore, just tired of the bs.

Lol most raiders are assholes because they usually have to deal with a couple scrubs then they instantly get ticked off, it humors me.

Almost had a similar experience back when VoG hard was relatively new. I was a 29 in a team full of 30s. At conflux one goes down and everyone assumes it was me and they started talking about kicking until they realized I was alive. This was only the first wave and at 29 I was capable of soloing either side so I told them I'd take care of mid solo as it was easiest for me. Soon more start to die and I'd eventually be the last man standing forcing a wipe
