Leaked Crotas End Hard Mode Glitch? You Decide
So here's what happened... My buddies and I no problem went through the raid. We arrived at that ol' bastard Crota and began destroying him. Going normal right? Well out of no where while we were lighting up the swordbearer, a gatekeeper came out of no where and killed like half our squad! I shit you not after he killed 3 of our men, he vanished into thin air as we were devastated by the oversoul... I instantly yelled xbox record on that shit as we all stood there confused as hell. Let me know what y'all think. Is hard mode going to have a gatekeeper at the end? Or do you think it was just a glitch. I'm planning on posting the clip to youtube soon and will be sure to edit and post the link..

3 RepliesI think in the crota encounter in hard mode The oversoul is gonna end up being like a giant oracle It will probably spawn in on a timer like oracles If you don't kill it It's a automatic wipe like oracles But with that said It will probably have an extremely high amount of health Kinda like the large amount of health the Oracles gained while in hard Now unless there is a second round of raid armor coming with different perks It just doesn't make since for 50% of the raid armor to be dedicated to something that will likely never get used in hard mode due to the fact that there is no revive system Maybe when crotas shield is completely drained The oversould will appear so this makes it so that while the player with the sword is doing damage to crota The other players cannot just stand there and get ready for the next round of damage to crotas shield Just a thought I could be wrong Thoughts?

3 RepliesThen there is the inconvenient bug where it spawns any new invites to the raid 4 checkpoints back at the 2nd bridge. Great way to waste your heavy ammo going to orbit and back.

Yeah In the area above you when you fight crota there are gatekeepers and I believe they are there to add some new variable to the end of hard mode. Destiny seems to love to save content and hide it In the game until the right update

7 RepliesThe Gatekeepers are located above the crystal in the middle room the entire time. There are two of them. But I've never seen them come down and attack! That's crazy

I always wondered what enemy was in the rooms above you after you initiate the crota encounter... Now I know so thanks for that! I'm guessing one of them glitched out of the barrier that keeps you out and them in those rooms. Pretty impressed that the game self corrected and cleared him from the play area (although the damage was already done) Great post op!

From what I heard on the hard raid gatekeepers are going to spawn in the entrances to the deathslingers crystal. So your account is probably accurate.

I have a feeling they're going to make where when you kill the swordbearer and acquire the relic, they are going to spawn but only the person with the sword is able to kill it just like when crossing the bridge. Maybe thats whats going to happen making it harder if they aren't killed.

1 ReplyI was with group yesterday and did not see this for my self (I had the sword and was over by Crota), but they started yelling gatekeeper! And next thing I know 3 of them were down an oversoul appeared and wiped us out. It only happened once. But I do believe your story.

Further analysis thus far: Hello guardians, thank you for participating in this topic, I must say I did not know it would grow as fast as it did. In my opinion from reading everyone's thoughts and experiences I will give my thought: From what I've pieced together, it is possible for the gatekeeper to spawn or fall through from on top of the crystal on normal mode. No idea how, or what activated it, I'm sure if it was intentional, the gatekeeper would not vanish and go back to it's original position. Buggy I must say, but I personally believe in hard mode, these gatekeepers will be a factor in the end portion. Possibly another swordbearer but I will leave it at that. Other reports of the darkness going up to x20 in the beginning raid, which is very believable as well. Your thoughts? I'm curious what everyone else thinks and what you expect on the hard raid! The gate keeper will be the biggest cock blocker . Why ? Well if you think about it the gatekeeper cannot be brought down unless he's struck with the sword so , Im assuming that when the sword bearer is brought down that blue gate keeper will appear and we will have to at least bring him down first before we smack Crota . The gatekeeper will be a threat to everyone which can cause over souls and mess everything up. Gatekeepers will be the slowing down the kill process and if I'm not wrong over souls will be appearing throughout the fights but occasionally . This is my personal opinion . But its going to be fun . # TEAM LEGIT RAIDERS / SAY NO TO CHEESE

10 RepliesThat gatekeeper came from the level above the crystal believe it or not. He's there to prevent you glitching up there to be invulnerable to boomers while you kick their asses. I think in this case the game -blam!-ed up and he glitched out lol. That is some shitty luck.

7 RepliesYesterday my group not not finish crota due to glitches. He would teleport, swords would disappear, crota getting off his knee instantly. I got pissed and said screw it. Theh patched the cheese but broke the raid!
