Iron Banner Chest Piece = Major Bummer
Well I was super stoked to see some level 32 IB gear available for purchase from Saladin... until I realized the chest piece was only level 31! What gives? Visually I think that chest piece looks awesome on Hunter class but there's no real point in purchasing it en route to achieving max level, especially if you already have a Crota's End chest piece. Why make the gauntlets 32 and the chest piece 31?
Sure, maybe it has to do with the IB rank needed (rank 3 for the chest piece and rank 4 for gauntlets). But it seems redundant considering there is so much other gear available in the Tower that goes to lv31. Why not break down the different IB ranks into all of the gear pieces lv32 (helmet, gauntlets, chest, boots) to offer players a complete gear set for grinding IB to max rank?

So I spent the last three days really working on ib and boom I got rank 3 for the chest piece and bam level 26 now, and also I have 13 strange coins ready for xur this weekend, but I read a few posts saying they don't play with people who have ib gear?? Am I gonna struggle to get a vog party again even now I have the right level?? Also people are saying get raid gear it's better! But at a lower level like I was getting a raid is hard so ib is good for that situation :) plz don't hate on me, I'm just confused as to how you can level without doing a raid that your to low level for but need to do to get the gear to do it :/ stupid

IB gear is harder and take more time to earn period. This crota raid is so easy its pathetic, and im talking about doing everything legit. It drops armor like crazy, way easier to get raid gear than grind IB against real thinking humans shooting you instead of bots. If you look down on those with IB gear its probably cause your an elitist snotbag who preaches the raid cause you suck at competitive FPS.

I don't want to get stuck with 32's who have 1 piece of raid gear that they got cheesing a part of the raid once, and have them think they can attempt hard mode. Not trying to be a dick, but anyone who's 32 with iron banner gear and is in my group for hard raid will be kicked. EDIT: Looks like I rustled some jimmies

42 RepliesWhy would Bungie give you 32 gear? All you have to do is bounties and play for a couple hours, then boom, you can buy gear. Now why in the name of Saladin would Bungie hand out 32 gear for little to no effort? Iron Banner armor = instant boot from fireteam.

Slightly annoying as I have 2 characters at lvl 32 and a Lvl 32 chest piece would finish off my Hunter. Let's just hope the RNG gods are smiling next Tuesday.

It is a give me they didn't make iron banner 30 till closer to dark below then 31. Probably the next or after 32 or trails supposed to idk.

It's too early in the DLC to give out 32 gear in IB or anything besides the raid for that matter. I'm surprised the gloves go that high
