Vex Mythoclast is not balanced for PvP
dear Devs,
Will you please look into how this weapon is balanced for Crucible matches.
It is the only gun in the game that all it takes is one look from the player spraying and praying with it and you are down before you can even get off a shot.
Basically it takes the skill of shooting a player at point blank range with a shotgun, but it is fully automatic and has the range of a normal AR.

Lol it was made that way. I never knew how gay and pussy pve raiders are. Raiders can't use their skills to stand out, they have to get trinkets that rig the game for them lololol.

7 Replies...yet another shotty fanboy getting destroyed by Vex users and not understanding what a metagame is. Hint #1: Hand cannons = Rock Vex/Suros = Scissors Shotguns/Fusion = Paper. I once fought a Suros/Auto rifle infested Crucible for a while, only to realize Hand cannons could destroy them due to better range and massive headshot damage. Then I had a hard time against good shotgun/fusion users, only to realize hand cannons lacked decent rate of fire midrange to follow a quickly moving target. So I went to Vex and destroyed them before they could reach me. And now, hand cannons are giving me a hard time because they clearly outrange me. That leads to... Hint #2: Don't effin use ONE weapon type on ALL maps. Adapt your choice of weapons. Shores of time/Skyshock? Midrange/long range weapons. Exodus? Midrange/close range, Twilight? Midrange/close range. Anomaly/burning shrine? Very close range weapons. etc etc...

Neither are exotic hand cannons when 20-28s are running around with rare auto rifles.

1 ReplyThe range says it's good but trust me it's a stretch at mid range. Not to mention the stability...Exotic HCs can usually out gun it easily, that being said if you are good shot, it's a headshot beast like most HCs.

have you ever see Vex user running away from thorn? if you die fast its just mean you got kill by a pro... nothing need to be nerf or buff(maybe no land beyond need a buff )

2 RepliesHonestly, I don't believe that bungie created an actual balanced standardized pvp experience. There are many questionable weapons and situations that leave everyone baffled. I think the damage output on the vex needs to be restored to its original state, as well as, assault rifles. PVP should be a mode that temporarily changes values when we're in it, not permanently. Why are we getting weapons nerfed? Because we hate getting killed by them in pvp? So, we should completely destroy some of the most valuable weapons...? No way! I finally got a vex! I want to enjoy it, dang it. In defense of the mythoclast, I get a lot of kills because most of my shots are critical hits... And being that it's a fusion rifle, their crits are better than AR crits. I wouldn't mind if the mythoclast was nerfed for normal crucible, but it needs to be hugely buffed in general. With that said, mythoclast should be mediocre in the crucible, but HUGE trouble in the Iron Banner.

It asshole players like you that are ruining the weapons in the game. You weren't around the first time they nerfed it were you. Stop bitching just because you don't have one and keep getting killed by it. I don't see what the problem with that guns is anyway. My Monte Carlo and Up for Anything have out matched the mythoclast numerous times.

Gotta be honest with you I totally disagree. 1) vex can be out gunned by other exotics for instance suros. 2) vex can also be out gunned by other fusion rifles. I run the vex and sure it's a beast. It's supposed to be it's the trophy weapon for vault of glass. If you get crits with it's usually 2-3 the other guy is dead. Body shots are another story. It's easily dogged by straiffing left or right. Sure I can damage you but usually a player with a fusion rifle can get one shot off and one hit kill me before I can kill him. Suros has distance the vex does not it also has impact the vex does not. The vex is fine as is you just need to learn how to not die from it. Don't get me wrong I'm not an amazing PvP player either but I still feel like it's fair especially when compared to other exotics. Hawkmoon is a guaranteed 2 crit kill. You should try and be objective.

If you haven't used this bouncy beast, please don't come make posts about fixing weapons that are perfectly fine. The Vex is easily out-classed by Thorn, The Last Word, Shotguns and other fusion rifles. I use it because I'm decent with it and I enjoy the gun, but until you've even used it, the person who set you off to make this post truly must of been good with the weapon. Usually I'm in the top of the scoreboard, but once I got my Vex, I finished a game with a 4.5 KD at the end. It's just a matter of what kind of player you are.

The Vex is only really truly effective within 20 feet. Anyone trying to kill you with the Vex beyond that range is going to have a tough time hitting you. I tried killing an afk player with it at roughly 50 feet and was watching the gun hit 15 on him. That's a little over twice the amount of thorns dot. If you want to kill a Vex user capitalize on its terrible effective range.

All I hear is another cryer. Whine whine whine, mytho clast this, mythoclast that. The gun is nowhere near as broken as it was before. Just because (I'm sorry to inform you) you're bad at PvP, doesn't mean the gun is a game breaker. Learn to deal with these guns. there are certainly more guns that have better ttk. I have a vew mythoclast, but any time I see someone use it, I choose my pocket infinity and destroy them. Exotics are meant to be devastating, but not game breaking. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you'll have more fun with the game
