Best Weapons for atheon?
This is what I have, Atheons Epilogue (Maxed), Lord High Fixer(Maxed) , Praedyths Revenge (Almost maxed), Black Hammer(White Nail equiped), Patience and time, found verdict, Light of the abyss, Song of ir yut, Gjallarhorn,(Almost upgrading to the clusters), Dragons Breath, Harms way etc. These are the guns I have from the top of my head. What would be the best strategy for atheon.
I have two Hunters. One with both classes fully upgraded, one with only blade dancer. I have a warlock (Resurrection is yet to be upgraded)

2 RepliesIf you fight Atheon from within the Relic bubble....Black Hammer or Praedyth's Revenge. BH if reacquiring the target after each shot isn't a problem. Praedyth's Revenge if it is. If you fight him from OUTSDIE the Relic Bubble.....Gjallarhorn (once you've unlocked Wolfpack Rounds).

Vision of confluence Praetorian foil/murmur for oracles Truth or ghorn usually top my list with alt setup of Thorn/hawkmoon Foil/murmur Corrective measure Vision of confluence Pocket infinity Corrective measure (This set up is great if your center bubbling as you can spray aetheon w the infinity and its mad effective vs bubbles and oracles given you can get ammo back) Any high impact scout or hand cannon Murmur or fast charge high impact fusion Super good advice (SGA vs bubbles and oracles is basicly near infinite ammo due to its perk so can always have ammo for smashing aetheon w fusion or primary)

I usually run with Atheon's Epilogue, Patience & Time and different heavies, based on what I feel like using. I recommend that you use AE (it shreds oracles), Black Hammer, and the Almighty Gjallarhorn. Praedyths Revenge is also viable, I find it fun to use in VoG.

Epilogue for the oracles, black hammer and I would guess gjallerhorn for Atheon himself

2 Repliesthe same weapons that are the best for everything else in the game: gjallarhorn and ice breaker. ghorn and black hammer, or ice breaker and hunger of crota. i have the voc and epilogue for primary, but i think the voc is better. the epilogue takes out oracles faster, but supplicants get taken out way faster with voc.

7 RepliesGlad you asked cause i was just blown away by the damage black hammer did to aetheon for me over the weekend. With weapons of light, 20.7k per hit and got 11 or 12 hits without reloading. This killed him, could have had another 5 or 6 shots before bubble expired. for comparison, icebreaker is about 19.5k per hit (again with WoL active), lower fire rate (due to stability) and you only get about 8, maybe 9 shots with it. Black Hammer will not permit Aetheon to exist.

You can step out of the Relic holders bubble to the left or right rear, jump up and blast him with the Gjally....just make sure there isn't a Titan bubble behind it and you'll be fine. Use AE, BH, and the Gjally or to play it safe, Ir Yut.

I would run with lord high, praydeths and Song of Ir Yut due to the fact that you dont want to risk jumping out of the bubble to but rocket damage on atheon it just isnt worth it
