4 RepliesImagine a world where Thorn was made into an auto rifle with 100 bullets in one clip. The impact for each bullet is the same as the hand cannon version. The Damage over time does 60 per second and lasts one minute. The auto rifle has the same fire rate as Unwilling Soul-09. The stability of Vision Of Confluence and the range of Icebreaker. And body shots have a chance to land precision damage. And each kill completely refills your melee ability. If your a hunter, every kill also refills Arc Blade. Also if your playing crucible, when you hit any enemy player the DoT spreads to every other enemy player no matter how far. This world is ruled by me.

2 RepliesCan't wait until you meet hawkmoon!
-
Nope. Hawkmoon is 10x better.
-
I love it when i get shot with a thorn its fun!
-
11 RepliesIt felt strong to me before they buffed it. I would have been content with just a faster reload. Though the Vex Mythoclast seems to shred in a blink of an eye, so I can't really call thorn OP even in its current form.
-
Not sure if you've noticed, but Everything is grossly op in crucible... Way too many one shot kills, way too many situations that you cannot consistently defend against.
-
It's a exotic and it's kind of a stretch to get

3 RepliesEdited by TreeSpartan: 1/14/2015 3:19:08 PMI feel all hand cannon are OP. At least range and accuracy wise. How is it that a gun with a 7 inch barrel can shoot across entire maps with out losing damage to range and can even compete with snipers? Not logical to me especially cus most hand cannon hav the same range stats as shotguns like wtf is the explanation for that Just my opinion
-
Nope.

1 Replyi dont agree, I believe its always the player handling the weapon. I outshoot most people using Thorn but get shot by people with a lot of different weapons. I think this topics comes up alot now because there is a steep increase in Thorn usage since the buff. I have been using Thorn long before the buff and rarely encountered other Thorn users.

Says the guy with the SUROS Regime. Get good.
-
2 RepliesIt deserves to be OP . When you do the bounty , let's see how you feel then :) IMHO , thorn is the one true earned weapon !
-
19 RepliesNope. Just one of the games most powerful weapons...and the exotic bounty to earn it means that it only winds up in the hands of people who have shown that they are very good at both PvP and PvE. So anyone who has it, also knows how to USE IT.
-
2 RepliesI really do not wanna see six or even 7 shots again. I enjoy not reloading every five seconds in pve content I rush through bullets to fast. Unlike everyone else on the forums I thought the original thorn was only good for PvP. New thorn is good in both. Big deal it kicks but in iron banner. I don't want to see another nerf because of crucible issues.
-
I have probably the best auto rifle known to destiny, I found it and it DESTROYS in crucible, inspect my lvl 31 hunter to check it out :)
-
Agreed. It's such bs. So is the Last Word, SUROS Regime and the Mythoclast.
-
2 RepliesThorn feels overpowered but does not break the game. It's how exotics are supposed to be. If you have been around since before Xmas you'd know that. Just because some exotics (no land beyond) under achieve does not mean that's what we should strive for in exotics. Fix bad guns, don't ruin good ones.
-
17 RepliesLove your shit-post, OP. Bungie has already done the run around with adjusting Thorn two or three times. They've even said that it is now functioning exactly as it's supposed to. It's a goddamn Exotic Hand Cannon, it's supposed to be strong. OP got killed by it, thus it's overpowered. Nothing to see here, move along.

10 RepliesI surprised that there's anything left of the dead horse you "nerf thorn" types have been kicking around since day 1.
