3 RepliesDon't really care about iron banner but yesterday morning I jumped in 1 match just to see what kind of competition was there.. THE WHOLE OPPOSING TEAM were using thorn...[spoiler]that shit got old fast and I rage quit 2 minutes into the game.[/spoiler]

5 RepliesI use TLW, my LDR 5001 sniper rifle & the valedictorian..... Never gone below 1.90 K/D in IB... My average is probably around the 2.25 mark I suppose. Just proving, you don't need all the best, best best guns to win with variety :)

I remember it being posted a month or so back that scout rifles with explosive rounds were dominating in Crucible. I tried using the fate and it seemed hit and miss. I would do real well for a few min then it acted like it wasn't doing any damage at all.

1 ReplyToo funny reading the 'I use XXX exotic, and I use XXX legendary'. Last weekend after a horrific week of trying out Atheon's Epilogue to get Thorn, I bought a lvl16 green fusion rifle from the gunsmith. Completely stock I took it into the Crucible and ended up getting consistent results of 20+ kills with a minimum 1.8KD. Not amazing I know, but good enough to carry the teams and end up in 1st place over and over. #nerffusionrifles I guess.

2 RepliesActually, I've been playing this IB with a legendary AR and Vex seems weaker than in the regular crucible. Sidestep while you shoot them, gets them everytime. Vex and Suros firerate kills them. While they miss one bullet I get 5 smack on they're head with my For The People with max stability.

1 ReplyThorn forever, I couldn't believe I was outgunning Vex users with it. It's a very nice feeling. Suros users too, barring the ones who kill in 3 shots. (It was more common in IB 2.0, only had it happen twice so far thankfully)

Edited by Taero : 1/15/2015 12:40:19 PMI've been seeing a lot of Thorn (including me) though mine isn't fully upgraded and it seems like every damn time if I miss a shot the other player ends up with a sliver of health left, like one more DoT ticks worth ~_~ Though I've been consistently positive in my k/d these 5 games I've played (huh after checking it seems some of my stats are messed, like a 0.0 k/d in one game and medals missing), it seems that either my gear is actually making a difference in defense or Thorn is definitely having an effect.

Seen a lot of the vex during my iron banner experience and suros. A little bit of the hawkmoon and spear.

I think you mean Suros. Obviously, they're doing it for the bounty but you see Suros everywhere in IB. I've only seen a few Vex users, I used it but it's barely upgraded and did shit-all against 31s. Fully maxed Thorn FTW!

4 RepliesHaven't seen the vex mythoclast that much, but I have to admit that it's fun to see ppl disintegrate when you kill them (I'm a vex user myself ^^). The thing that annoys me the most is that literally EVERYONE is playing with that damn suros regime, it's like everyone is getting that thing for nothing at all.

Thorn, Vex, Suros. Most used weapons in IB. I don't use any of them. I use the Satterienne Rapier or B-Line Trauma as my primary, Plug One.1 as my special, and the MG18-A Harms Way machine gun as my heavy. Been getting between 25-35 kills per game on average and pulling a pretty consistent 2.0-3.0+ k/d.

As far as primaries go, Suros and Thorn have by far been the most common. Still IB is ruled by fusion rifles/shotguns. Not complaining, it is what it is. Barely seen any mythoclasts. Not enough people have it for it to be that common.
