really, A limit to Glimmer?

25,000... I know that after you reach level 20 almost everything in the tower becomes useless when it is bought with glimmer, but to cap it off at 25,000? That's too darn low. The iron banner items can reach to about 11,000 glimmer for their weapons, shaders, and armors. The iron banner is a limited time event with the maximum days of seven days. It is hard as hell to save up the money and have to go out again to fight off the enemies and hope you would have enough time to play the iron banner to rank up. I barely got to the sniper rifle the last time and when i finally reached enough glimmer... boom!... gone. it was over. this whole month i have been preparing for the iron banner in hopes than my hunter this time will be able to rank up fast enough on the limited time i would have to play and get up enough glimmer to buy iron banner stuff from the guy, because i have no hopes to get anything from the iron banner itself, for last time, i only got a legendary ship... from over 80 rounds i played in the iron banner last time. Next time, bungie, do not lie about updates, because last week, i have gotten more legendary and exotic items in crucible by itself than i did in the iron banner by far. Increase the glimmer amount before you start the iron banner, and increase the drop rate of at least the iron banner items, id love to get some more iron banner armors for my three guardians than anything when i go to the iron banner.

  • Then farm glimmer. Do the first Mars mission again on heroic and at the very start you get 9 yellow bar cabal legionaries that pay 25 glimmer each. Takes a couple of minutes to get there and wipe them and it pays 225. So you could do it 30 times in an hour. That would be 6,750 glimmer per hour. In the process you will get a load of "Network keys" dropped that each pay a bonus 200 at the cryptarch. Another one is to patrol the Cosmodrome. When you spawn turn left and go down those steps to the old russian railway station. In the first room to your right you get three yellow bar hive (two acolytes one knight) spawn that pay 25 each. It happens every time you go down from the surface so kill all three for 75 glimmer in about 30 seconds then go to the surface, back down and keep repeating. It might be a slightly quicker method than the Mars one so may 75 glimmer 80 times in an hour? That's 6,000. You'll also get Black Wax Idol drops which are either useful with Eris or you can activate so they pay more than 25 per death. In al this you'll get greens and blues from time to time too. Break the weapons and armor and some items can pay 50 or more which just bumps the per hour figure. Bottom line: it's not that hard to bump the Glimmer level back to 25,000 each time you use 7,000 for an exotic weapon upgrade or whatever else you spend large chunks on. In fact just playing through higher level missions for other reasons (bounties, dailys, weeklies, strikes) will involve a load of yellow bar enemies and drops that pay in various ways (house banners, silken codex etc) so just play the game and it fairly quickly bumps back to the 25,000 limit anyway.
