"THERE SHOULD BE A WAY FOR A SOLO PLAYER TO GET MAX LVL GEAR WITHOUT THE STUPID RAIDS!!!!!"
No, no this is wrong. Solo gear should not be as good as , or better, than Raid gear (obtained (typically) by 6 people working together to take down tougher challenges) - simple as that.
If you really have such a limited grasp of effort vs reward then i truly despair for you.

Edited by dukesniper27: 1/12/2015 2:38:42 PMHey bud, I am willing to sacrifice this so called 6 man effort for a road of utter grinding and hardship just to prove that solo players deserve the max in game lvl gear. How and if that happens is Bungie's decision. All these raiders spitting venom on this thread are just being immature to the max. Would you not like to have the option of gaining some kind of other lvl32 gear without the raiding???

"solo players deserve the max in game lvl gear." No, no they don't

Well if the solo players had it just as hard as they used to it would be fine. IB is far to easy now. Although I prefer armor that classified by PvP and PvE. If you have Lvl 32 armor it should classify as PvP gear so other know you busted your ass for it. Especially since I find a raid far easier than the high tier crucible matches. Two teams of 6 communicating and actually working together is far harder of a challenge than 6vAI. I personally believe the PvP dudes have it far harder than the PvE dudes. All they have to do is wait for the next big grind method and dole out the armor and loot. Can't do that in the crucible. You have to play to win and even then you won't always receive a reward other than knowing you bested the other team. A classification would be nice seeing as the divide in the community is so apparent. PvE complain about the core PvPers and the PvP complain about the casual PvEers.

Yes yes we do , bye.

Wow; i can see you are a master at debate... Let me try and break it down for you (i tried to find the 'write this in crayon' option for you, but alas, i will have to try it in reasonably short words for you instead) Raiding is designed to be End Game content (i.e. the hardest content in the game) It is *meant* to be challenging content, designed to need a full fireteam of 6 to complete. 6 man content is (or at least SHOULD be) significantly more difficult than solo content. Harder content = Better rewards (because of how effort/reward works in the real World) Therefore - If you want the best content/gear in the game, play the end game how it is meant to be played. And if you somehow can't get five people, out of all the millions of Guardians out there, to tolerate your presence for the hour needed to do a full Crota run, then the issue isn't with the game, it's with you. TL:DR version: If you can't be bothered to put in the minimal amount of work required to do a Raid run properly, then you don't deserve the Raid/end-game gear.

Ooo so you can think and write as well, you deserve a big big cookie, sorry I didnt bother reading what you wrote was just to long after a 1000+ comments of the same jibberish. Good luck with whatever and something something.

Wow; i didn't realise you would be so threatened by eloquence and literacy - I apologise for offending your deeply held beliefs. Of course, it would be rude not to point out your obstinate pigheadedness at apparently being told you are wrong "1000+" times, and despite the logic of the reasoning against your point of view, because these people disagree with you, in your (apparently quite small) mind, they must simply be "wrong". Isn't it a little stuffy with your head stuck in the sand? Just curious...

Yeah sure ,you are right, hail 'you' , everthing you say goes.. (didnt read this one as well).

You really haven't got the hang of intelligent debate have you?
-
What is the point of debating anything with you thick headed people?? You have your views and opinions that you will vehemently defend and uphold , even if I somehow try to explain my viewpoint a 100 times?? Answer me this, will your opinion change ever so slightly if I give you proper answer or are you just going to "order" me off to the raid like the remaining 99.9% shmucks???

"What is the point of debating anything with you thick headed people?" See this is why you lose respect from people trying to have an intelligent conversation with you - You have done nothing to support your side of the argument - You have insulted, dismissed, ranted and complained - But you have offered nothing in the way of tangible, reasoned or intelligent comment. You make sweeping statements such as "solo players deserve the max in game lvl gear" which to me (and by the looks of it many, many others...) utterly flies in the face of all reason - Which i actually detailed above; not that you read that but hey, one can only try. As such, any merit your argument may have originally had is now significantly more difficult to convey because you have come across as a petulant twelve year old since your first post. But hey - The eternal optimist in me says 'go for it' - If you can eloquently explain why you think a solo player should be able to get the same gear as a dedicated six man team working together to take out a 6 man boss (glitching/bugs notwithstanding) -- Then go for it; the floor is yours: Impress me!

No point, you will just counter and counter for the fun of it. ( By the way, I read all you wrote just now, hope that makes you abit happy:)

"No point, you will just counter and counter for the fun of it. ( By the way, I read all you wrote just now, hope that makes you abit happy:)" Happy? Well; from what you wrote it looks like you actually read my arguments, and you have nothing to refute them with... So... Kind of happy i guess...?

Do you at the very least agree with me that there should be multiple ways to get the max gear or is this a no no?
-
"Do you at the very least agree with me that there should be multiple ways to get the max gear or is this a no no?" I think there should be an end game PvP set in the same way that there is an end-game PvE set - But i believe the PvP set should be obtained via PvP TEAM play in the same way the PvE set is obtained via team play. Some kind of specific 'Raid level' 30+ Playlist where you have to be in a party of Guardians and beat other (teams of) Guardians to get the drops/rep required to buy the Light level 36 PvP 'Raid' Gear gear. There could also be the option to have the opponents set as 'Bots' in a private lobby, but with the difficulty jacked up (so the teams have to work well together to prevail) This means that teamwork is rewarded; regardless of whether you are killing mobs or other Guardians, you get rewarded for working as part of a team either way - it also means the playing field is leveled i.e. it is end-game group play that rewards the best gear. The PvP set should have specific bonuses to PvP (i.e. one bonus could be something like "+5% damage vs Guardians") in the same way the Raid gear has specific 'Raiding' buffs (i.e. agility bonus whilst carrying sword) This way you can clearly see whether someone is PvP or PvE focused (or both...) when putting together a Fireteam/Raid group, everyone has multiple options to get themselves geared up, and both the PvP and PvE communities have the option to get end-game leveled gear. Job done i'd say :)

That was very enjoyable read as well, very nice ideas, mostly inline with what I was originally suggesting, but yours is way better. I was late with this response, because I ask a friend to teach me how to raid CE ( thanks to you guys...). What an absolute cheese-fest that was. With in 10 minutes I got 6 energies and the boots. He just ordered me around - "stay here, move there , wait 2 minutes" and so on. We go to Crota and he said he had change characters to repeat everthing again. So who knows, by the end of the night, might have a second piece raid gear... Which made me think, actually how many 32s that were talking shite on this thread did same thing???? Getting raid gear in less than 10 minutes or a week of IB is more legit??
-
"THERE SHOULD BE A WAY FOR A SOLO PLAYER TO GET MAX LVL GEAR WITHOUT THE STUPID RAIDS!!!!!"
You'd still need radiant shards from the raid to max it. The shards don't drop anywhere else...

Considering I'm 1 piece away from 32 and I solod it all, Your argument is invalid.
-
"Considering I'm 1 piece away from 32 and I solod it all, Your argument is invalid." Well done; you have made the most of the bugs and exploits and solo'd a Raid that was (originally) designed to be completed by six people. Have a banana. Just because some genius at Bungie enabled 'scaling' to the Raid, so half the time one manning it is a LOT easier than 6 manning it, doesn't make it right. Raid content is supposed to be group content, and it is meant to reward coordinated play to give the biggest/best/shiniest gear. Raid content *should* be designed so only a group can do it. Hells, 6 man groups aren't really 'Raids' anyway (real Raids are typically 12 or more players...) so the idea that people like the OP are bitching about *having* to group with a 'whole' five other people people to get the best gear in the game is utterly ludicrous. If you want to play a solo game and get all the best stuff, try The Last of Us - It's a great single player game. It will also mean you take your petulant, entitled whining elsewhere. Thanks!
