Does anyone know every way possible to get the ghallerhorn?
Does anyone know every way possible to get the ghallerhorn? I've exhausted from what I know, all available avenues of grabbing it. Nightfall, RNG drop from raid chests/bosses, or PVP. I heard someone in raid today saying it could be dropped in a strike mission, but I'm not sure. Anyone care to clear this up?

11 Replies1 - Go to tower 2 - Spend all glimmer on white engrams at Cryptarc. 3 - Go to Earth, complete 5 patrols. 4- Go to Moon, complete 5 patrols. 5- Go to Venus, complete 5 patrols. 6- Go to Mars, complete 5 patrols. 7- Do Black Garden mission on Mars with heroic modifier 8- Go tower, spend all glimmer you just made on primary ammo synthesis. 9- Do the daily, without dying and only using primary weapon. 10- Do the Weekly Heroic, without dying and only using primary ammo. 11- Do the Weekly Nightfall, without dying and only using primary ammo. 12- Go to tower, dance, go back to orbit. 13- Start up the Vault of Glass Raid. 14- Hop on Sparrow, go to all of 3 opening platforms. Stand in middle. Use Super. Start dancing. All while standing in the middle of each platform. 15 - Go to orbit. 16- Play very first mission. complete without dying with heroic modifier and only using melee attacks. 17 - Go to tower, dismantle all legendary weapons you have. 18 - Go to Moon patrol, Go to the Hellmouth. 19 - When standing in front of Hellmouth, walk in a little circle, while aiming at the earth. 20 - BOOM, Gjallarhorn wil appear in loottable. 21 - Profit. Yeah it can be dropped anywhere, I got mine from nightfall a long time ago, my mate got his from a crucible match, I also got a second one from vog chest, my IB came from a tiger strike in week 4ish, red death from a purple engram!! its just pure luck, the more you play the more chances you have!!

Done nightfall 3 times and alll Vog and Crota raid runs since the game came out on 3 character. Took 5 months to get a gjallahorn to drop and never had an ice breaker drop yet. Sometimes it's pretty sickening. It's just luck and no skill whatsoever, it's like winning the lottery, you just have to buy the tickets each week. Just hang in there and it'll drop eventually.

Design a flux capicitator, buy a deloren. Find a scientist who can design a time machine with eccentric methods. Go back in time to week two and buy the ghally from Xur. Don't forget to have some japes and shennighans on the way. Sorted!

Luck mate... I only managed to get mine a week after the Crota DLC and it was from the first chest in the raid... Other than that, you just gotta keep grinding and hope for the best

Get a high impact machine gun with extended mags. It's about the same if not more damage you can do with your max ammo. I've had one that kept me company for a long time. Just damage is spread out overtime of course.

Don't stress over it. There are other weapons to use. Just do the stuff you want to do and it will drop eventually or Xur will sell it again.

1 ReplyThanks for the educated answers and confirmation of my question, for the people who did. That being said- for everyone else (just because everyone on bungie has apparently turned into trolling members of the clan of idiocy) I might clarify myself; I was ****ing asking where all possible loot ranges were. On a weekly basis, I had beat all raid bosses, got all chests, and done nightfall. Whether or not it could definitely drop in a strike before I waste countless hours on ROC missions, over pvp. Yes I know it can drop in PVP or nightfall. The chances of it dropping or not dropping I can only assume are different for each. One may or may not be better than the other. Read the OP in full like big boys and girls and don't simply answer the topic title like an arrogant one.

Defeating Sepiks Prime on level 27 with the Heroic Modifier active grants a 50% chance at the Gjallarhorn.

Not guaranteed to ever get it. You could be like me and have 400+ hours into the game and still not get it. Someone on here posted that they had over 1000 and still no gally.. Good luck

Got mine from crucible. Friend got it twice in vog and the other one in a nightfall (yes, he has 3)

Run ROC strikes if you have done everything else. You could do Crucible as well, but you will typically gather more engrams per hour than Crucible. You can get it as a drop after the strike, or if you are extremely lucky, get it from a legendary engram. Let's face it, you are highly unlikely to pick it up with these methods, but those are your options.

It's random. There's no 100% way of getting it from anything. Just do your thing amd it'll happen.

Unfortunately, just doing every possible method won't guarantee you jack shit. I haven't gotten an exotic outside of xur for weeks now, every since I got my Gjallahorn from an engram.

You can get an exotic many ways. From there, you'll have to hope it turns into one you want. I'll try to list from most frequent to least: Xur Final raid boss on Hard (double roll if you haven't done it on normal) Final raid boss on Normal (I've personally received an exotic) Weekly Nightfall (I've personally received an exotic) Vault of Glass, first Gorgon chest (I've personally received an exotic) Crota's End, first chest; to be amended to Ir Yut after 1/13/2015 patch. (I've personally received an exotic) Weekly Heroic (I haven't seen an exotic drop myself, I'm just assuming, since you can get one from the Daily) ROC Strike Playlist(I've personally seen exotics awarded) Tiger Strike Playlist (I've gotten exotics from this prior to The Dark Below. I'm not sure if you still can get exotics now.) Crucible (I've personally seen exotics awarded) Daily Heroic (A friend claimed to receiving an Exotic) Legendary Engrams (I've personally received an exotic) Patrol Chests (I've personally seen exotics awarded) Feel free to add anything I've missed.
