Solo players already have a viable route to 32 in that the raid is soloable (rather easily at that). Also Iron Banner is heavily biased towards teams so will not be as quick for a solo PvE player. PvP players totally deserve the opportunity to get level 32, but the complaints people have are: 1) The ease of acquisition during Iron Banner 2) The fact that there is a disparity between PvP and PvE events (Kinderguardians have never seen a Queen's Wrath and likely won't before trials) 3) The idea that gear with no real benefit in crucible should drop from a PvP event. This event is literally designed to baby PvP players and nothing more by catching them up on the PvE side. Personally, you are free to hit 32 how you want, but don't cry when I choose someone with raid gear over you for hard mode.

  • If you honestly think the raid is harder then maxing ib in a week you've not got a clue. Again, I've not had chest or helm drop for me. I've got over 80 shards. Why shouldn't I be allowed to hit 32?

As for not getting the pieces you need, I'm sorry you have had bad luck and wish you drops on Tuesdays run (or from IB as I don't really care and was just listing the reasons people have). It is a pity the loot system isn't more thought out.

  • I did hard mode from day 1 on vog and never have had the boots drop. I know plenty of people who deserved 30 and got it though ib.

Yes, the loot system is flawed. I won't disagree with that, but that said they shouldn't require PvE players to go hybrid just to make up for a shitty drop system (and PvP drops should be more beneficial in PvP than PvE). Iron Banners current setup only makes sense if you assume that the majority of players are hybrid players (which in my experience is not the case, but my sample size is too small to say absolutely). If you run the whole raid enough times you shouldn't have to question if you will have the full set (VoG) or if you will have enough shards (CE). This could have easily been solved with a token system that allows you to 'spend' your 'progression' on the loot you need/want, but such a system wouldn't artificially extend the length of the game.

  • They've made it clear they won't change the loot system. Since they won't change it aside from ib what's the alternative?

  • Well I personally overcame my bad luck by rerolling hunters until I got what I needed from the raid, but that isn't an option for those with less play time. I will admit that my original statement needs to be revised after consideration. I made that rash statement without thinking through all the unskilled players I have put hours into simply because of their attitude or personality. It would be wrong of me to reject a player just because of gear. Thank you for forcing me to snap out of that unacceptable mood.

  • Umm, IB ranks are simple. The bridge legit with 6 people is a pain and will only be worse next week when you have to get your whole team across (yes including that one guy who you usually make hide and snipe boomers during the crota fight because he dies too easily). I can solo the bridge, but each person you add is another potential point of failure. You confuse difficulty with time investment when they are fundamentaly different. You only need a win every 6 matches to cash in your medallions and other than that you can sandbag to shorten matches.
