I'm confused, whats the difference between Halo CE and Halo Custom Edition?
Halo Combat Evolved and Halo Custom Edition
Are both the whole game with the modding kit or what. Do you have to download one of them?

Halo CE can stand for two things. To an xbox gamer it means Halo: Combat evolved. Now if you played Halo PC (full version) you might know of this program that allows you to play custom and user created maps and variants. Kind of like forge, but on crack. People make completely new maps. I myself have been amazed a few times from just the shier size and attention to detail these maps are. There are many websites (of which shall remain nameless) which people can post their maps for the world to download and see. You can use them using the halo disc, but use the Custom Edition program that you download. I hope this has cleared somethings up.

Custom edition is a free download that allows you to play maps other people have made, make maps, and make and use new weapons. You can find it, along with the largest cache of Custom Edition maps and weapons on the web, here: [url]http://www.halomaps.org/[/url]

Custom has modding tools, and is able to have user created content, I.E. new maps or vehicles. whereas halo combat evolved (CE) is just the game and multiplayer

Halo CE is Halo 1. Halo Custom Edition is a game with an open source code that is supposed to be modded and distributed to others to play on, and is still pretty popular. After purchising Halo 1 PC it can be downloaded for free.

Halo CE is on Xbox and does not have mod kit. The Custom Edition is there so you can fiddle things in the maps,kind of like forge.
