I actually found a decent Pulse Rifle?
Let's face it: Pulse Rifles SUCK. Except the 2 exotics, which are serviceable.
I found a "Three Little Words" last night that looks pretty sweet. Check my Warlock out, it's equipped. This PR actually has an impact stat above ~3! With a decent perk roll to boot.
Anyone have this and know if it's worth using, or does it at least look worthy?

New Heart is awesome!!! I've maxed it out and has worked wonders is pvp. I only started using because I thought it was uncommon

There's a pulse rifle you get from the ROC strikes called "Evergreen" something. It has higher impact than the Red Death and has virtually no recoil. I have one with rodeo and fitted stock, so it has maxed stability hitting at 34 a headshot, able to 2 shot

Pulse rifles should be able to shoot fast and kill you in less than 3 burts. Because of the shields and health poils in crucible, bungie still hasnt figured out that pulse rifles wont do the damage they think. A lot of the times, not all bullets from a burts will hit an enemy. Especially if they are moving. Take that into consideration and you can see why pulse rifles sucks. There's a lot of running, jumping, and sliding. All these high impact pulse rifles need higher rate of fires. That's what they wanted the red death to have and they just ended up nerding the damage it does. Bungie hasnt figured it out. To top it off, they should weak man. Im always into guns that sound strong idk

7 RepliesI'm a diehard for pulse rifles because they remind me so much of the BR from Halo 2 and 3. I've tried every pulse rifle in the game except for Red Death. three little words is solid. But I think you will find the stability lacking :/ each pulse rifle has left something to be desired in one form or another. It's one of the reasons why pulse rifles get no respect.

Impact is actually good, but the perks are bad in my opinion. With field scout or firefly it would be way better. Perks you got are giving you faster reload speed and better stability, which is obsolete, cause it already have good stability and reload speed. Anyway, the best pulse I've seen or got.

I have it with rangefinder and third eye with fitted stock equipped. Honestly the impact makes it a very reliable gun. The slow rate of fire does make it hard to get used to but overall I say it's a damn good gun
