I don't know about you, but I think even the trailers for the more recent Halo games have been really lackluster.
Take, for instance, Halo 3's "Landfall" mini-movie, or Halo Reach's "Deliver Hope" live-action trailer. Both excellent and full of emotion. Then compare them to trailers for Halo 4 or, better yet, Halo 5. It makes you wonder where all the money went, seeing as neither of those games were that great themselves.
Go back to the lead up to Halo 3's release, and you could hardly turn on the TV without seeing at least one trailer for it. Reach didn't have a massive advertising campaign, but it is still more memorable, at least for me, than any of the advertisements for 343i's Halo games.

1 ReplyI don't know, that first trailer for Halo 4 was I pretty epic. (The one where cortana wakes him up then he dives through the ship with a sticky detonator)

I think Halo 4's trailers were all pretty lackluster. But they really stepped it up for the MCC I've seen the MCC cinematic trailer (which is epic and over 2 minutes long) the We Will Rock You trailer and Nightfall in a lot of movie theatres and NFL games. Probably more than Cod and on par with Destiny.

I never liked Halo 3's commercial. I always though it was stupid looking. Granted, I was never a fan of that game, so maybe you have a point.

Meanwhile, I'm still seeing commercials for Destiny during NFL games
