See spoiler for why Bungie needs to be afraid...
Let me start by saying, I've had a lot of fun in this game... and I'm still playing. But I can tell my playing excitement is drawing to a tiresome end. Even though I still have fun with my friends, the game is losing me cuz of reasons many have explained. Tired of the "groundhog day" experience of doing things over and over, with only the HOPE, that all my current work will be thrown away, and current gear will be obsolete come the next DLC.
As a matter of fact, the only real reason i'm still playing is because I have already purchased the 2 DLC's from release day. I am now not even sure I want Destiny 2. Why?? Because the same thing will be done over and over. Current gear a waste, and the Grind of meaningless stuff.
The only real content in this game is Bugnie forcing you to Grind over and over, because there is such a lack of a deep or long enough story plot between DLC's. This is why they need to wipe your exotics when you upgrade them... to keep us, or FORCE us to have to come back and run bounties over and over again to level them back up.
Now that I have leveled up everything I care about.... the Tuesday Reset is the only day I really have a desire to play. Run the nightfall with my characters, run the Raid... and the rest of the Week... why play? Maybe some PVP here and there... but eh... don't need to upgrade weapons and gear for Crucible.. and Iron Banner has only taught me, that gear is pointless come next DLC. So no need for IB either.
Anyway... this post is getting a bit longer than I desired. See the spoiler for what i'll be doing soon enough, and why Bungie needs to be afraid... be VERY afraid. Unless Destiny makes some radical changes... the spoiler is where i'll be
Once "the Division" is released, I will have no desire AT ALL, to play Destiny... And I know i'm not the only one feeling this way... my whole circle of gaming friends have all said the same thing
I don't give a singular shit. If you don't desire to play this game get off the destiny tag.
-
People will still play Destiny. Besides that, there's no concrete evidence that The Division will be better. It looks absolutely amazing but.. So did Destiny. I for one will be playing both, because you never have to dedicate all your time to just one game and that's how everyone's mindset seems to be.
TLDR It won't. None of the other major releases in 2014 did.
I would prefer if the grind from strikes would be removed to endless defense, survival or whatever game modes. Maybe with some random areas etc.
-
First off Destiny has been "threatened" by many games. Each if these games have failed to kill it. Secondly Destiny is like TF2. You don't know why, but you keep playing it no matter how much you've played.
-
The Division is going to divide me from Destiny. I like all Tom Clancy games, so I can't wait for the Division.
-
Everybody has their own game they consider their personal destiny killer. The worrisome part of this is a lot of us are killing time with destiny until what we consider to be better games come out. I know Bloodbourne and dark souls 2 will take away a lot of my own attention. For myself and an increasing number of players, destiny is a game we boot up on Tuesday, run the raid, get no new gear, and put down the game for the rest of the week. It will remain as such until something changes, at least for me. I like the game but the player rewards system is so broken I enjoy spending my time elsewhere.
-
I haven't touched Master Chief Collection yet. Might be time to give that a shot, I never had the chance to play Halo 1 or 2. It's just collecting dust right now.
-
I gave up on Ubisoft.
-
Why should bungie be afraid? They already have your money.
-
Brace yourselves. Division is coming.
-
It's your fault if you want to cram an entire weeks worth of events into a single day. Also there's no indication that the division will be any better than Destiny.

Oh no one person and his friends are leaving, QUICK SOMEONE CALL THE PO PO
-
Yes, because CoDAW, SoM, ACU, and DAI killed Destiny, yeah?
-
For your own sanity never, ever follow the hype for anything.
-
We thought destiny would be amazing. Was it? No. We think the division will be amazing, do we know? No. Dont think games are amazing until they have been played.
-
I like the part where he refers to himself and his fap hand as a circle of friends.
-
I played Destiny today... For the first time in two months... Don't know why I came back, because its still disappointing.
-
I agree with you. I have a circle of friends and we play this regularly (less regularly lately) and we will be more or less leaving destiny if Bungie continues deflating the value of everything pre new DLC. Makes me feel like I'm being tricked by some rip off iPhone game.
-
Until the Division is unplayable due to bugs (it's Ubisoft, remember) and everyone comes back to Destiny.
-
The division is 3rd person. Will not be purchasing it because it is 3rd person. 3rd person ruins the immersion that first person brings.
-
Redundant post is redundant
-
The artwork for Horizon looks neat.

Please
Delete your Bnet account too
Dont let the door hit you on the way out. Just leave, no idea why some mouth bresthers need to announce it. Muted in anticipation if you leaving.

Lol I play dragon age mostly bc I got what I need here. I'll be back with all new content get to the top leave and wait for more. But all games that were supposed to kill this hasn't. Only cod hardcore a left. And yes dragon age won a game of the yeah but the friends I met on here and GTA and halo don't have it so I play single player and jump on other stuff including destiny with friends.
