It's called PR. They need people that don't play the game to think it's great so they buy it. They have a 10 year plan and at this point if they want anyone to be playing it by then they will need all new people as most everyone already playing will have burned out long before 10 years gets here.

The gunplay is good, everything else is hoops and hurdles designed to keep you playing far longer than you usually would.

Please, mist FPS games have a shity story i know and understand Destiny does lack a good story telling but that dosnt make the game horri le bad like the critics say. The game is fun to play and is really inmersive.

I never said anything about the story. I, personally, don't care for story, but I won't criticize those that do, even though, truly, the story is very lacking. The game itself isn't horrible, but very mediocre. It has the best gunplay in the business, but has very horrible MMO and f2p elements instilled within the game. And the content (loot, missions, strikes and raids, Crucible game types, weapon types) is disgustingly lacking considering it's asking price. There isn't even a decent character creator. The worse offense is Bungie's actions post-release. They've been quick to fix "exploits" but most known bugs and glitches are still left intact. Good ideas suggested by the community that could have lifted the game has been largely ignored. And they gave the impression they have some kind of contempt for their customers. Sure, the game has its 30 seconds of fun, but lets not ignore the game has a lot of problems, and it's unsure many of them will be addressed, or even if Bungie wants to.

Thats your opinion, and you are welcome to it. The majority of players do not feel that way... Read some reviews on the game... you'll notice a lot of repeated critiques from independent sources. Some of which are just glaring: Absent story, mindlessly repetitive gameplay, baffling loot system, lack of content, etc... Now I dont expect anyone to read one review and take it as truth... but when multiple sources say the same thing, then you get on the boards and players are complaining about the same issues... at some point you become the ostrich and not the sheep.

And most of them still play the game. The reviews were done for the game they wanted not the game that was realeased. The funiest thing is how players put 300 hours in to the game and then come to the forum and talk so much trash. Explain to me how COD got an exelent review by doing the same shit they do every year. The COD story is short and the game is an eternal cycle ( shoot, shoot and shoot some more)that diesnt make any scence.

Sure they do... but when discussing the internal issues of one game, it is a fallacy of argument to compare it to another.

The only complain i got so far is the lack of story line and cut scenes in the game. Everything else is fine with me. Dragon Age the game of the year is great but it got bugs that makes the cut scenes look like crap or dont show at all but nobody seems to care. What game you can compare thisone to? Borderlands?

My complaints are not solely aimed at the game... I am growing more and more disenfranchised with Bungie itself.

Actually yes its a fps with little to no story, good gameplay ,loot and both have a pain in the arse ai claptrap and dinklebot
