Iron Banner 4.0
How do you feel about Iron Banner 4.0 coming out so soon, on Tuesday January 13th, 2015? Are you looking forward to it, or are you upset that there is another Crucible event so soon? Discuss below!
Personally, I am just going to do some IB for the 6 extra 5k bounties (30k per day) that will be available for 7 days, which sums up to 210k exp + match exp! I have no desire to hit level 5, and I will likely only do 3-5 of the bounties depending on how in the mood I am for PvP.
Edit 1: I was honestly hoping for Trials of Osiris, not Iron Banner. Anyone else disappointed about this? (On top of that, I was kind of hoping they would do a PvE thing because it's been so long)

If there will be Timur's Lash and Jolder's Hammer - yes. The shotgun is also pretty neat. If not - I'll just reroll my spare Efrideet and be done with it.

9 RepliesThe weapons are worth it for the reroll chances for good abilities. Got my scout rifle with explosive rounds and firefly, totally worth it even if its not most damage efficient cause EXPLOSIONS!

2 RepliesI highly doubt they'll raise the light level SINCE they didn't when they released 3.0 Or maybe they will since it's been out for a while (I wanna relieve they won't still and tell you to gg at crota's raid) I'm in it for the gear though I really like the iron regalia (and I'd like to collect more weapons from iron banner too)

Maybe if they offer some new stuff like helmets or breastplates (again for titan). Really depends on the style of the items. Don't get me wrong, i also check the stats, but lvl 30/31 or 32 doesn't matter to me as long as i can do my nightfalls and help ppl with it.

12 RepliesFor those of you asking, IB will most likely sell armor that is lvl 31. There is no way bungie would make an armour set equal or better than the raid gear out. as raid gear is the hardest to obtain and lvl up.

10 RepliesIs it me or is this poll indicative of how players are in this game towards pve or pvp I would say: 50% pve only 30% both but more pve than pvp 15% more PvP than pve 5% only PvP Why does bungie only concentrate on iron banner when such a small amount of players care for it

1 ReplyI'd love to see the numbers of what percentage of Destiny player base played PVP on a consistent basis. Ya know the ones who spend say 8+ hrs a week in crucible. I would suspect and could be wrong that the majority of the player base is PVE. Either way we need a PVE event ie Queens Wrath again..

3 RepliesI got to rank 4 for the specific reason of getting Iron Regalia Shoulders to get to Level 30. Instantly become obsolete the next week due to new TDB Vanguard Gear. Never again.

Hard to answer because I haven't seen the rewards yet, but if nothing's changed from IB3.0 I won't be playing. As I said in another thread, I'd grind through it for IB helm and chest at 33 light, for any piece of armor at 36 light, or for a guaranteed 331 Perun's Fire or Jolder's Hammer (that is, if I can buy them from Saladin). But an entire week's worth of Control isn't worth it for the post-game drops; I'd rather play Clash or hit the Roc playlist. An entire week's worth of Control particularly isn't worth it when I risk having teammates who can't compete because their level and/or gear isn't good enough, or when I consider how little fun it's going to be to wade through a neck-deep lake of lag-switching, SUROS-fellating opponents.

If the weapons are any good I will hit Level 5 by doing the IB bounties. And if the weapons are crap I will skip IB for the first time.
