well i never really care for fusion rifles untill i realize they really do the job but in pvp i keep getting my ass kick due to a charge taking some time to fire. anyway i wanted to ask pocket infinity owners is it a good fusion rifle? especially for pvp im looking to use.

Edited by PureBeast72: 1/10/2015 4:03:56 PMIn PvP it's powerful, that's what I heared atleast, I'm waiting for Arc/Solar to use Vex/Plan C for NF's since it's my final stage for it, I never tried it that's why I'm hunting for it. Full auto is great but the problem is that it has tons of glitches. Edit: And full auto is always good for big monsters like Majors/Ultras, all in is better than 1 by 1 charge.

When you get the perk and the extended mag. Spray into a zone in control. I have gotten quad kills from that.
-
fully auto will destroy skirmish and rumble based on some experiences so you should have fun with it
-
That was my favorite gun till I got the vex. The bounty is very easy and doesn't take time as long as u have the 10 rare fusion rifles on hand
-
It turned into an exotic shard for me. I just never wanted to waste an exotic slot on it when so many better choices exist. Plus I only had 300 version and I wasn't about to spend a week leveling it up again.
-
Pretty bad in PvE, but it's the best gun in the game for PvP once you get Perfect Balance and full auto.

Edited by amarioguy2: 1/10/2015 2:16:50 PMmeh. vex is better

Edited by Barks at Cat: 1/10/2015 7:49:18 AMThe charge is very slow, but once you adjust your tactics to compensate, it will kill anyone without fail.

3 RepliesPocket infinity is top tier in pvp. Not worth the exotic slot in pve tho if you have ghorn or prefer an exotic primary.
-
2 RepliesI dont know if its part of the weapon mechanics or if its a malfunction but when i aim down the sites the rate of fire slows dowe alot and sometimes it only fires 3 slow rounds instead of 5 with perk attached
-
23 RepliesI'm stuck on the last part (kill 200 enemies in the nightfall with a fusion rifle)
-
Serious warning. It has a pretty large charge time. Will be a bit painful Til you unlock the actual Exotic perk, but at that point I PROMISE it will have been worth it.
-
Its solid in PVE and PVE both, but you just need to know how to use it right. (Its also SOOO useful for the Overcharge bounty. Just aim at a couple of low-ranking enemies and hold the trigger...emptying the magazine on full auto counts as a single shot!)
-
Yup. I got to rank five in IB 2.0 with a PI. It's great for the fusion bounty and the eris solar special kills bounty, one trip to warmind and it's done.
-
Vex is my favorite
-
1 ReplyThey nerfed it. Fire rate is slow as shit. My personal opinion though it is probably still good but I got a vex so clear pocket infinity isn't worth my time no more.
-
I like it for PvE, wouldn't be caught dead being a FR brat in crucible though
-
I spam the crap out of it by far one of my favorite exotics it's a monster in PvP if you learn how to use it
-
I haven't used it since I got the plan c, I barely use fusion rifles anymore though.
-
Bro I have it... All I need is like the last 3 damage upgrades, but when I go into pvp and actually use it... I feel like running around laughing like the Joker as I'm blasting people away. Once took down 5 guardians with 8 straight shots non stop trying to take a control point... Its a beast! Just get around that charge rate and you're good
-
I was you before i got it but it kinda sucks tbh murmur does the same job
-
It all depends on your play style whether or not it is any good. If your the kind of player who plans out a fight and at the right moment unleashes hell on your enemy. The Pocket Infinity (when upgrade) is the perfect weapon for you.
-
It's good
well i never really care for fusion rifles untill i realize they really do the job but in pvp i keep getting my ass kick due to a charge taking some time to fire. anyway i wanted to ask pocket infinity owners is it a good fusion rifle? especially for pvp im looking to use.
Its the best PvP fusion rifle. Once you get full auto and perfect balance that is. Charge rate is bad so you need to learn to pre charge behind a cover.
-
It's an amazing weapon for any type of play. Once you use it a bit you will get a really good feeling for the charge time.

Just upgraded mine for the pocket infinity perk. Try using perfect balance to get extreme control. This is at the cost of mag size. From 5 to 3 shots. But the stability perk help in a big way and taking the mag hit worth it in my opinion. I've read, the Other thing to note is that after 3 shots your dps drops precipitously, so the 5 mag clip is not so useful as one may think.
