reset exotics/progress again after House of Wolves?
IMO, it's a terrible design to have us put even more hard work into our already heavily grinded gear and exotics. I was just curious if I was the only one that would hate to see them do this again.
Let me know what the rest of you think. If the majority is cool with grinding the same weapons every expansion is the answer, I'll shut up and go get different games.
edit: there is some pretty sweet input so far. Keep it coming. So far, the haters are still in the Xur posts.

I wont do it again, I stopped playing for awhile because of the last reset. I do love the game and ultimately playing with friends brought me back, but if it resets again i will stop for good.

The issue here is that most people disregarded that the max attack was 300 and the "reset" exotic started at 302. Sux that there where a lot of players that had used exotic shards and then had to pay one again wile it others didn't. Hopfully they can find a better system

I say yes ONLY because I want to have a lvl 35 character. Which will make each raid go to lvl 35 for their hardest mode. But cut that stupid Xûr upgrade and just manually update them like they did for the Vex Mythoclast.

If that's the case and we have to grind again I will put destiny to bed.... This game takes grinding to a whole other level.

2 RepliesI'll never understand this gripe. If your so unhappy with the progression system..Don't upgrade the weapon. Leave it at 300. It's that simple. You reset the upgrade and you go from 300 to 302. Why do you think this is so bad? I was happy as hell to go from 300 to 302 on Icebreaker. It took me about 3 days to fully upgrade to 331. It's part of the game. What don't you understand about that? i hope they DO have another reset with House of Wolves. I'll be damn happy to go from 331 to 333. 6 RepliesI don't mind the grind but they are make it worth the grind then greater attack power. I remember one of bungie's post saying exotics [b]suppose[/b] to feel OP but it not a big game changer. So what I take of that is the weapon should feel the same but what it could do is what set it apart at which almost every exotic don't meet what they say(Ex: Suro < ????). I think maybe add an extra ability either after upgrade or as a last upgrade, so we actually would fight it. For example Ghorn 331->Ghorn ??? + Tripod(or something). I don't know I just going on a limb here if you don't like, don't shoot the idealist here. [spoiler]I didn't vote[/spoiler]

Also new vanguard gear shouldn't make old raid gear obsolete. If new level cap is 34 and vanguard gear takes to 33, make level 32 a requirement to buy new vanguard gear. That way the last raid isn't made useless.

1 ReplyBad juju still have no upgrade since dlc. It will get to a point I will wait until the next dlc to even bother. I am sure they will do it again, but the upgrade should be available right away and not at such a cost. Not sure how glimmer became more valuable then coins.

13 RepliesIf it were up to me there would be no upgrade path via any weapon and new ones would take thier place. Then a majority of you would complain that I made weapons obsolete. I also would not care because that's how these games work. This isn't call of duty. You don't keep the same weapon the entire game. I would like to not upgrade my Suros again but instead would like to find a new weapon to take its place but this exotic still reigns supreme after the DLC.

2 RepliesIt wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to wait for Xur to show up and then spend a sh*t load to reset it. Chances of him even offering a reset for the items you need are pathetic as well. Don't understand why they couldn't give the job to the Gunsmith tbh.
