AFK Wankers really grind my gears
Not cool dude... Not cool! Fair enough if your connection goes or your pad runs out of juice... Just pathetic making other people work twice as hard because you're a pussy or lazy. Don't bother playing the game if that's the case!
I've noticed this happening more & more since Christmas so I just report player & leave the strike if people are being dicks!

Worse than AFKers are the lurkers. The ones that are on but stay considerably behind you so they don't face any real action. I know why they're doing it and it's crap.

if im in a group and at least one of them is commited and plays well I just inv that guy and we leave the strike and start a new one. you end up having a group of 3 and rock roc strikes very quickly. that's only if my friend list is busy but it does happen from time to time.

Moving occasionally to stop getting kicked. Other player to their credit got wise and kept going near them, drawing mobs and forcing them to defend themselves. At the end the idler dropped into the room, so I unloaded half a magazine into his face and meleed him out of sheer bloody frustration,at watching him standing there not doing anything while I was waiting to respawn half a dozen times. Then the smart talking started, but didn't hear much because I muted him. And I'd already reported him for inactivity. Anyway, me and the other player got around 80 kills each, the idler got 5, then RNGesus gave him two blue items and the other two of us one each. Then he tried to get me to join an XBL Party, twice, before I messaged him that he was blocked, and is now avoided. What an arse.

2 RepliesIt takes a fair amount of effort to push a person all the way from the spawn point to the first darkness zone in the Omnigul strike, but it is at least mildly rewarding if you have the time.

4 RepliesMost of the time if you invite them into your fire team right at the start, they'll join and you can kick them out of the strike. it's wonderfully satisfying.

I just take it as an opportunity to do a few things around the house and afk myself. I have had people come back after 10 minutes to find me crouched in a corner just on the other side of the no respawn zone. They get so mad. It's great.

3 RepliesShould be 5min AFK kick in strikes (quicker than you can beat it) and 60-120 second AFK kick in crucible (the matches are only 720 seconds anyway)

7 RepliesI should probably elaborate on this... Deliberate AFK-ers who are just sat there being inactive & waiting for rewards without doing anything is what grinds my gears... Not people who leave the strike, not people who get put in when the boss is almost dead & not people who die at every other bullet... I can solo Vanguard Roc, thats nkt the issue... I'm just fed up of carrying these douche bag scrubs through strikes only for me to get a blaming piece of blue armour that's not even for my class & for them to get a legendary or exotic gun reward... What's the point in collecting the guns if you're never actually going to shoot at anything!

It's so annoying, I swear every roc I do there's always that one guy who never plays. Why even join? It pisses me off and depending on the strike, can be rough.

3 RepliesIt just perplexes me as to why you would play the game......and not actually play it? I mean, most people bought Destiny to either shoot aliens, or shoot other people in the crucible, so why are AFK people not doing that? Personally believe there should be a five minute timer, after which if both of the other fireteam members agree, or if it's just you, then you have the option to kick 'em.
