Do you think it is cheating by people completing raids/nightfalls more than 3 times per week? Or do you see it as anyone who has the time to do it, just go for it? Honestly I don't care at all if people do that, it's a smart way to get what loot you want fast. It may seem like cheating but the amount of time it takes to finally get your character back up to 20 (5 hours or so) it balances out. If someone has enough time to do it go for. If that's how they want to play then by all means. Look at it like this, I am a big fan of final fantasy as well. Do you think that going back to previous dungeons and grinding to get your level up past what the next dungeon is going to be cheating? No, a lot of people do it, it's a way to level your characters and develop skills faster. I see deleting characters and remaking the same way as that. It's just normal loot grinding, just takes more time since you have to level to 20 again. What do you think? Leave your thoughts below!

I think people that do it have too much time on their hands. But all the power to them if that's what they want to do.

22 RepliesIt's an addiction. Those people need help.

I don't care what other people do as long it does not interfere with how I play.

If people wanna throw three of the same class at the RNG every week, let em. It's still stupid that Bungie set the game up for only three character slots anyway, they rip off Borderlands in all the ways except the ones that would make Destiny truly transcendent. Putting aside the superior loot system (still RNG based, but with at least giving players a direction to farm ie: certain bosses have a higher chance to drop items, etc), Borderlands allows you to build (as far as I know) as many characters as you like and throw ALL of them at the RNG for loot! Had Bungie released the "chokehold" on just a few elements of this game they'd have at least tripled their already HUGE fanbase and positive word of mouth would have led to exponential increases over the years. tl'dr? F*ck Bungie's RNG, if people wanna "one class" build to get around it, more power to em.

I think it is very smart of them

No, it is actually a ton of work. More work than I am willing to put in haha.

9 RepliesI think it's cheating

Not for me leveling up to 20 is boring as fak
-
They obviously put in way more time than I do. So I say keep doing it if it means that much to them
-
They can play the game how they want. I completely disregard any complaints they might make about their hard work and not getting drops though. If you choose to re-level a character so that you can run the raids and nightfall multiple times each week - that's your issue. Don't whine when you don't get the drops you think you should get.
-
People can do whatever they want. It does not affect me
-
People who have time to keep deleting seriously need to get outdoors and maybe find a woman
-
It doesn't affect me or my game, so go for it.

Their game....their time......their choice....their life (or lack there of)

There is no cheating/cheese in any video game that I am aware of. The code functions exactly as it was written. If the application/game allows you to shoot through a wall and it was not intended, then the game is flawed not the player. People utilize exploits in everyday life why would games be different. In life, when a task is achieved by the more efficient way people usually consider you stupid to use the longer least effective process. I guess it all comes down to how you want to set yourself apart. Is the process or grind what you take pride in? If so then if someone can push a boss off a ledge without killing him, you would consider that cheating when in fact the game was working as designed. If your goal is the most exotic gear and reward your goal you would not consider that cheating at all. A good example of this is while playing PvP users will constantly state someone is cheating or a weapon needs to be nerfed. The fact is that neither is happening. The fact is the user is getting beat and does not like it. Reality is either discern a process to beat the other player’s strategy, or obtain the same weapon and use it. So my opinion is no it is not cheating. If the game allows it, it is legit.

4 RepliesIf people wanna spend their time doing this, go ahead I don't care. But it just goes to show that people have no life

I literally couldn't care less. Their progress in this game doesn't negatively impact me what so ever, it can only benefit me if I happen to stumble in to a fireteam with them. If they want to spend their time doing that, then so be it. If someone wants to hack the servers and reach level 100, good for them, as I say it has no negative impact on me
-
Honestly, if someone wants to sink that much time into the game, more power to them.
-
I don't have the free time to do this... But if want to, they can.

When I created one of each character I swore I would not delete any of them but after the dlc came out it left me with no choice, I have 3 characters 2x31 and a 32 I refuse to delete the warlock and Titan as I have a lot of playtime on them and vendor rep but the hunter I have now deleted twice just out of boredom. I have the time to do it so why not, I can lvl a character to 20 in about 7/8hrs play and as long as I have one character that has Eris lvl4 to convert energy it's all good! And if you look at my profile and see a lvl 12 it's because I'm lvling up again. ;)

The goal of the devs is to slow our process artificially they dont want you to pass go and collect 200 with a weekly cap. Personally id rather delete and remake than run daily bounties n story missions after reset. Nf and weekly plus raid pay out more Just dont have the time for all that
-
I don't think I'll ever delete my main Hunter. I recreated him from the beta, and want to see him through the whole thing. I have deleted each other character once before though, once because I messed up their appearance and couldn't stand it, and another time because I thought the Titan would look better as an exo. /digitalvanity

No but only because I'm jealous that some people have so much down time in their lives
-
It's not something to agree or disagree with.
-
Don't care what they do. Bungie has forced artificial limitations on progress in this game and gamers have turned it back on them with cheeses and exploits. Hail hydra Bungie. Cut off one head and two more shall take it's place. So stop limiting and capping out progress!!

Any player can play as they want. Why should I care what other people get up too. Personally though , I'm definitely not that sad and pathetic to want to do that , JUST so I can try get more stuff to be a 32. Scrub Manoeuvres 31 and Happy
