Do you think it is cheating by people completing raids/nightfalls more than 3 times per week? Or do you see it as anyone who has the time to do it, just go for it? Honestly I don't care at all if people do that, it's a smart way to get what loot you want fast. It may seem like cheating but the amount of time it takes to finally get your character back up to 20 (5 hours or so) it balances out. If someone has enough time to do it go for. If that's how they want to play then by all means. Look at it like this, I am a big fan of final fantasy as well. Do you think that going back to previous dungeons and grinding to get your level up past what the next dungeon is going to be cheating? No, a lot of people do it, it's a way to level your characters and develop skills faster. I see deleting characters and remaking the same way as that. It's just normal loot grinding, just takes more time since you have to level to 20 again. What do you think? Leave your thoughts below!

No, who cares what other people do?
-
I would do it but...... I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to level again.
when I make my titan I will have to do it again :/ NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
If you're willing to spend that much time to do it, then go for it. I hate the grind to get to 20.
-
I could care less, seems like a big waste of time to me but eh.
-
Who cares..if its not hurting anyone else or affecting your gameplay personally why do yall care. Some people just have that much time to kill. Ridiculous argument really.
-
Not cheating. Actually someone doing everything they can to earn random drops etc.
-
Not cheating but I couldn't do it
-
Dont care.
-
I agree with people playing the game however they like, as long as they don't affect others.
-
If you have the time and that's what you wana do with it I could care less.
-
I don't think is cheating. If anybody grinds for 6 or 7 hours just to level up another character I think they earned the right to get more loot.
-
Leveling up a new char was fun but doing it just for one or two more raid runs?
-
I was going to do that with my titan, but when I went to the tower and looked at his cold, mechanical face I couldn't bring myself to delete him.
-
I don't care either way. They are still having to sit through that story and reach level 20. I personally don't have time for that but if they do, more power to them.
-
If they put in the work to get to 20 again I think they deserve it
-
Only reason I started a new warlock was so I can use all the bleed over from my main warlock
-
If someone wants to delete and grind a new toon up and do that for 1 extra chance at nightfall/raid then go for it. Doesn't affect my gameplay. I wouldn't, not worth the RNG.
-
I dont think its cheating.... Hell thats a lot of work, and time..... I wouldnt do it, but i say that they deserve the rewards
-
I've got 2 31 warlocks and a hunter at lowly level 12, and I run the nightfall and weekly 2x each week, I've only had to upgrade one set of armor per category and trade it over so they level faster, running things 2 times on the same class doubles the armor experience and amount of Ascendance or radiance shards and energies I get the hunter is because I like it and keep getting hunter equipment so as soon as he's 20 he's rather decked out
-
Doesn't bother me how other people play the game once they don't afk
-
No it's not cheating because it takes time and dedication to do something like that. I personally think it is more fun to have 3 separate types but to each is on. I do think that the current state of the raid makes it too easy and people are not really earing anything if they cheese all the time. I don't think you need to do this method anyway because they fixed the drop system. I have 3 different characters and 2 are 32.

1 ReplyJeez why not?

Grinding for gear has and will always be part of RNG loot based games. Traditional MMOs or FPS alike, people will go that extra mile to get the gear they want or need. It's not cheating and never will be. There's a lot of time that's put into making Alts for that one piece to complete a desired set. Some people got lucky with three different classes and claim any other way is cheating. It was just pure luck and that's all. However, some people have had to chip away at the RNG system with multiple toons just for one drop. In the end the loot table will grow and expand to a point where having different classes will be irrelevant. Especially if they ever decide to expand on class lore within the game. Then it will just be the norm and everyone who pointed a finger will slowly disappear from Destiny. That will be the day Destiny's roots will be well planted deep within a dedicated community.

8 RepliesAgreed. Some people in this community are too fixated and concerned with how other people play. Destiny has the option to delete and create a new character at whim, with no restrictions. That's not cheating. Now exploits, glitches, purposeful disconnects, standbying, and modding are cheating. Face it. If you have to disconnect your network to kill Crota. You're a cheater. #2cents

It really helps the grind and let's face it, destiny's random loot bs is crap! Luv u destiny!

1 ReplyPeople can play how they want. My opinion? It is way less impressive to see a 32 from someone with multiples of the same class or who creates a new character to raid and then get deleted. "But it's RNG luck!" Exactly, I can be impressed by the luck someone has. Like the Chicago man who won a major lottery winning 3 times in one month. Being impressed is in the eye of the beholder. Are those 32's less/more worthy or good? Nope, a number is just a number. My opinion on a person's journey to get there is, yep, my own opinion. I have the right to determine what I find more impressive.
