Do you think it is cheating by people completing raids/nightfalls more than 3 times per week? Or do you see it as anyone who has the time to do it, just go for it? Honestly I don't care at all if people do that, it's a smart way to get what loot you want fast. It may seem like cheating but the amount of time it takes to finally get your character back up to 20 (5 hours or so) it balances out. If someone has enough time to do it go for. If that's how they want to play then by all means. Look at it like this, I am a big fan of final fantasy as well. Do you think that going back to previous dungeons and grinding to get your level up past what the next dungeon is going to be cheating? No, a lot of people do it, it's a way to level your characters and develop skills faster. I see deleting characters and remaking the same way as that. It's just normal loot grinding, just takes more time since you have to level to 20 again. What do you think? Leave your thoughts below!

Anybody that does that has some real dedication to the grind and I can respect that. I would do the same if I wasn't so attached to my characters.
-
I have two lvl 32 characters, without doing it. My friend was able to get to lvl 32 on two characters by using two of the same character types and deleting one and creating another. I don't really care, because he is a great player. He has a lot of time on his hands, and finds a way to make the game last longer through the week. For me, after the raid I don't have much to do during the week. Deleting characters at least allows you another shot at better gear.
-
It's hard work, so no it's not cheating. I have deleted my hunter twice and am about to run my 5th raid this week. Cheating is when you disconnect in the middle of the game to get loot faster. I (and many others like me) are putting in a lot of hours so that we can max 3 characters to 32. Or at least those of us that run three characters instead of 3 of the same. And I'm not calling those people cheaters because they miss out on a lot of stuff that doesn't drop for their character and they still have to put in the work to get the gear.
-
Well it takes several hours to do it so no.
-
I agree with not giving a crap about how others play.
-
Play the game the way you want to play it. It's yours and yours is the only opinion that should matter.
-
How do you do it in 5 hours. It took me 8-9 hours to go from 3-20 and I completed all bounties, all missions on heroic with a higher level player who had all the final checkpoints for every mission and most of the regular strikes.
-
Why would anyone have a problem with this? It wouldnt even be a discussions if Bungie hadnt added the ridiculously low character cap, three characters.
-
If someone has that much time on there hands and the attention span then good for them go for it
-
If they have the time to dedicate to building new characters at their disposal, pfft, phuck it.
-
If you can do it good for you, I restarted characters about 2-3 times (cosmetic reasons) and will never do it again because its so boring to get to level 20 AND then unlock all the subclass skills again, too much work, I just wait till the next week.
-
Of course it's not cheating, but oh my God does that sound so tedious. People can do whatever they want, but get some stretching or cardio or something in between characters, seriously.
-
cheating? no. a horrific test of patience for rng? yes.
-
Does it really matter? Replaying the story is -blam!-ing boring as shit anyways

Edited by Dizco Pat: 1/8/2015 10:38:25 PMshould've made this a poll. If you have the time to do it that is great. I personally think we should be allowed to run the nightfall daily. (Maybe make it once per day per account) Although I barely have enough time to run the nightfalls and raids once on each character per week. But this would help my friends be willing to run it with me after they've done it haha.
-
It's not manipulating the code doing it so not its not cheating. It's merely a choice and a lot of extra work. In my opinion.
-
All it is is another way to farm..and this game is about two things farming and grinding.
-
It's their life. If they want to spend the hours to do that then go ahead. That's just one of the many problems that having your level tied to your gear creates.
-
I'm too much of a stats junkie to count losses and delete a character.
-
They can do it all they want, i'm not gonna waste 7-8 hours of my life fore a few extra shards and energies.
-
Who.....cares.....
-
There wasting there time No
-
Its up to ppl how they game, but at the same time it is my right to refuse to game with someone that does it.
