The person who reposted the drop rates got all of the percentages incorrect, not even close actually.
Please don't repost the stats I found onto the forums , I purposefully didn't post them in here because I get credited (not five seconds of fame like the forums) on YouTube where as in here I don't even get recognized for my work. If you play the video the very first thing you will see is instruction on where to skip to to just look at the number I put together, I'd very much appreciate if you would support me by watching my videos and liking them if you enjoy them or find them usfull and subscribe if you want to catch more things by me in the future.
I really can't believe that people are going out of there way to screw me over after I put in all this -blam!-ing work to get these stats for everyone.

154 RepliesEdited by Skaughtto: 1/9/2015 6:39:45 PM200 Strikes (Total) - 519 Items (Total) ~2.6 items Per Strike 449 Rare (Blue) [327 Armor(73%) / 122 Weapon(27%)] ~2.2 Per 1 Strike - 86.5% Drop Rate) 20 Legendary (Purple) ~1 per 10 Strikes - 3.9% Drop Rate 2 Exotic ~1 per 100 Strikes - 0.4% Drop Rate 14 Motes ~1 per 14 Strikes - 2.7% Drop Rate 9 Coins ~ 1 per 22 Strikes - 1.7% Drop Rate 11 Ships ~1 per 18 Strikes - 2.1% Drop Rate 14 Shaders ~1 per 14 Strikes - 2.7% Drop Rate Edited for those who want more math: Item Drop Rate is calculated based on the total number of items rewarded. 20 Legendary Items / 519 Total Items = 3.85% 2 Exotic Items / 519 Total Items = .39% 14 Motes = 2.70% 9 Coins = 1.73% 11 Ships = 2.12% 14 Shaders = 2.70% Item Drop Rate Per Strike would take into account that the OP was rewarded an average of ~2.6 items. Legendary 3.85% * 2.6 = 10.01% Exotic .39% * 2.6 = 1.01% Mote = 7.02% Coin = 4.50% Ship = 5.51% Shader = 7.02% To get 1(or 100%) of an item you divide by the Item Drop Rate per Strike. 100%/10% = 10 Strikes to get 1 Legendary 100%/1% = 100 Strikes to get 1 Exotic 100%/7% = ~14 Strikes to get 1 Mote 100%/4.5% = ~22 Strikes to get 1 Coin 100%/5.5% = ~18 Strikes to get 1 Shop 100%/7% = ~14 Strikes to get 1 Shader ... but in the end it's all RNG and chance. There are going to be players out there who do 1,000 Roc Strikes and get no Exotics and there will be players out there who do 1,000 Roc Strikes and get 50 Exotics. Some games have safeguards, but I think Destiny's is Xur. You can't really use past data to predict the future. The experience of most players will follow an average, but there's no way of really telling without obtaining a ton of data.

No offense but I still think that 200 is still a too small sample size to be able to determine drop rates from.

I clicked, liked and even watched the ad ;D Then I read the list below because it's just easier to digest the info that way XD

2 RepliesI hate when people constantly plug their own content and beg for views and likes. If your content is good, you shouldn't need to sell it. People will watch it, share it, like it. When you point out how much work you did and how one site gives you credit and one site doesn't, it actually stops me from clicking on it. If you post was more about your content and not about your struggle for credit, I might have been more inclined to click on it.

9 RepliesOP, I saw you post this as a reply:
That's okay, this is my 4th video to go trending on the forums .
I checked your YouTube page; a max of 100k views over about 20 videos. As you're evidently a knobhead I'm gonna break this down The top YouTuber probably earns around $10 per 10k views with the pinnacle of advertising. For your YouTube videos you've therefore earned less than $100. This one video (~2k views) took you 50 hours of gameplay to log the data for plus numerous hours of editing but we'll call it 50 for the point I'm making. The minimum wage in USA is ~$7.50 per hour which meant you could've earned ~$350 in the time you've spent on this video. That's ~$250 more than the total amount you could have (and certainly haven't) earned on ALL of your videos. Fgt

I will look at the video tonight. I have read some comments though. I just started doing YouTube commentaries myself. I used to dabble on YT, but with destiny, I tried to "actually" give a run at commentating. See if people like what I had to say. I truly love it. Why people subscribe is for your content and for YOU. Those go with each other. Anyone can search Destiny on YouTube and find content. (some examples of those videos) they could have great content, but horrible commentating. Or the other way around. From what I was reading and correct me if I am wrong (we will then go from there) ,I guess at some point someone claimed your stuff as theirs? Regardless, I understand you are mad, BUT people do subscribe to you. Don't forget about those people. Those are the people out there that wait patiently for your uploads. Again, I understand that your are upset. Feedback in the comments should be taken kind heartedly, even if someone completely slams you. Take the feedback and move on. If you see your stuff in someone else's post or YouTube channel. Politely say something like" Nice! I went over this a couple weeks ago (insert link) it's pretty cool!" Two things from that. One, people will see the upload date of your video and two, you ultimately know the truth. Roll with the punches man. I am learning that subscribers are there for YOU first . Your spin on things, then the content comes next. They can get content anywhere on YouTube. But YOU are the difference maker. Good luck man and remember why you do videos -CoolGuy

4 RepliesBy asking people not to do something you are pretty much guaranteeing that people will do it just to spite you.

1 ReplyIt's commonly known that no random number generator is truly random, the true mechanics of why are above all of us here, including myself, unless we happen to have a computer engineering doctorate in the forums.

Edited by Found_Verdict: 1/10/2015 4:01:44 AMWhat is there to understand? There's no logic behind RNG. Video also only shows rewards on mission complete screen, whereas the extra items are left off. This happened with two of the Suros I obtained, appeared not in reward screen but in orbit. Everything explained is not set in stone and was only correct for that set of strikes. All the percentages and data retrieved were basically pointless.

8 RepliesMy question is this: Is it possible to beat RNG, kind of like counting cards in blackjack?
-
I don't understand why everyone has hate for you lol. Good video.

I honestly don't know what you expected. Call it lazy, but no one wants to watch a video even though we can skip to the stats. Let's start with the video. You made it over 9:00 minutes? That alone is enough for people to just say screw it and not look at it. And about this "work you did for everyone." You mean the work you did for yourself hoping that everyone would appreciate it? I don't care what the stats are for getting a legendary or an exotic. The lower they are, the lesser of a chance I personally feel to getting one. And it's YouTube, not the Russian News. Chill out.

Edited by Recanted: 1/9/2015 7:55:01 PMTrying to find a drop rate on RNG. Are you being serious? Also, post the stats here if you want to "help" everyone. Don't force us to watch your YouTube video. No, I don't care if there's a link skipping to the results, it's not practical to click 20 times to find an answer I was looking for by clicking on this thread.

This is good for a rough guide, it's not always gonna be 1exotic per 100 Strikes or whatever but give you a ball park.

6 RepliesI like my whores classy. You need to work on your marketing kid. Take it as a lesson that everyone just posts your info, and learn to whore yourself better. 200 Strikes (Total) - 519 Items (Total) 449 Rare (Blue) [327 Armor(73%) / 122 Weapon(27%)] ~2 Per 1 Strike - 86.5% Drop Rate) 20 Legendary (Purple) ~1 per 10 Strikes - 3.9% Drop Rate 2 Exotic ~1 per 100 Strikes - 0.4% Drop Rate 14 Motes ~1 per 14 Strikes - 2.7% Drop Rate 9 Coins ~ 1 per 22 Strikes - 1.7% Drop Rate 11 Ships ~1 per 18 Strikes - 2.1% Drop Rate 14 Shaders ~1 per 14 Strikes - 2.7% Drop Rate

3 RepliesGreat video, very helpful, although I think the only thing that will hurt your channel is your immature responses to some people's replies on here. I'd subscribe to you but I don't fancy a lashing when you don't like what I may have to say
-
2 RepliesI was going to thank you for the information OP but reading through the comments it turns out your kind of a douche, Maybe if you were less of a dick you'd have more followers.
-
2 RepliesAfter reading the comments I've calculated some numbers utilizing some complicated algorithms to come up with the conclusion that there's a 100% chance of you being an ignorant asshole

I love when players write out their drop rates. It makes everything so much nicer. Good luck aiming at 1000 strikes! I hope RNGesus blesses you along your journey!
