Thats like saying "Why don't people expect exotics from thrall on earth?" It's a random drop right? If green engrams pop surely exotics should too, since its random and all.

No its not, exotic engram's aren't in the loot table only way to get them is to buy em from xur

Ok, why don't exotics drop after completing the first mission of the game? or any of the first 3 missions? It's random, though I've never heard of any exotics from those missions

Because different parts of the game have different loot tables... Where the NF loot table has a chance of an exotic other areas of the game such as the first mission don't. Also you can't get any exotic drops till your lvl 20

So you're saying the harder missions in the game reward you better? A level 30 mission should reward better than a level 10 mission? I get people shouldn't expect an exotic, but nightfall is one of the more difficult aspects of this game and should reward as such.

At the end of game drops yes but you will still have a a chance of an engram drop during the mission

So you agree harder missions should drop better rewards. Since nightfall is one of the hardest missions it should drop the best rewards. That's why people expect exotics.
