Exotic duplication glitch
So I was playing the nightfall with my hunter and a couple of friends and after beating Valus Ta'aurc I received the Monte Carlo in the post game menu. I immediately switched to my warlock and to my surprise I found a Monte Carlo in her weapon stash. I don't know how this happened. I don't need 2 Monte Carlos.

NO FREAKING WAY!! i know i'm years behind but I just tried after the latest update and guess what.... IT WORKS AGAIN! Slight change though, again it only works for the Exotics that you have *one* of and this next part is *key* (and suuuupper difficult) You need to time it so that you have just enough, well, ...time... to enter the Contra code ending just b4 you land as you delete the desired exotic. Now this is the Contra code you'd enter at the title screen just b4 selecting the # of players on the org NES. Convert the code for xbox controller ....of course.... and If done correctly you should finish with just enough time to delete the desired exotic. Keep in mind that hitting select start (or start when playing solo) is not required as that was necessary to start the game waaaay back in '86. May take a few tries to get it right but here is the code (again for those who weren't born yet) Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A -DELETE-!!! You're welcome. . . . . . sry couldn't resist

45 RepliesI know how it works. Right when u get a new exotic enter the tower. As your flying in time delete said exotic. If you time it so that your deleting right before you land, you will now have two exotics! For some reason it only works on exotics. Really works good on gallyjhorn and icebreaker for who knows why

3 RepliesYou basically have to equip one exotic primary while in the vault, then delete bar just before the end then quickly switch off your application on PS4. As soon as you signed in go to the vault and it should be duplicated. I do it for easy exotic shards. Bump so that I know who else has done it.

3 RepliesWhy would anyone need to duplicate a gun? Don't get me wrong it would be cool to have a vault full of gjallys but what is the purpose of leveling the same gun multiple times?

[b]Just a reminder... I also bugged an item in a similar way, but in my case it was a forced disconect. The next game update removed my duped item.[/b] Let us know if you still have it after an update.

I am interested in testing this out if it is indeed true... EDIT: Also, did your second character who received the duped item have the ability to still pursue a nightfall run, or did it count for both chars? Personally, I don't keep multiple exotics, but I'm a curious monkey and like to test this kind of stuff out. :)

My friend had this happen to him with the hawkmoon. I've tried to replicate it with no luck. I've never got a play station exclusive reward though so it may have something to do with that. Who knows. Enjoy the shard.

2 RepliesWho cares about this glitch. It's nothing as long as trading is not allowed. It would just save people the time of vaulting a gun to change between characters. You still have to level then independently. If your like me the last thing I do before I log off is go to the tower and vault everything I use or am ranking up. It's no big deal.
