I've done the whole raid solo legit(no cheeses) but crota is what gets me. I'm a titan who has not been blessed with ghorn yet so I had to try different combinations. Two shots from HoC and one from icebreaker does the trick but it doesn't give me enough time to do enough damage to him with all the weapon swapping. So my question is, is it possible to solo crota without ghorn?
Edit: Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will try some of them today and will report on my findings.
Edit 2: I GOT GJALLARHORN OFF THE RAID CHEST :D No more struggling. Before I could test some stuff me and my friend decided to two man it for lulz and we did.

2 RepliesHunger of crota works just as well.
-
2 RepliesSomebody solo'd it with No Land Beyond
-
2 RepliesTitan soloed it with thorn
-
15 RepliesHow do you solo summoning crystal? I'm struggling on that part

Edited by MTheoryFreak: 1/7/2015 11:51:40 AMYes. Plenty of YouTube videos proving this. Saw a sunsinger video spaming aoe grenades and something else. He also had hunger of crota.

2 RepliesIt's possible someone did it with no land beyond only
-
This post gave me a tumor in my brain

Maybe hit him with Thorn to prevent shield Regen then HoC. You would have to waste your exotic slot on thorn though.
-
2 RepliesCongrats on gjallarhorn. Haven't I seen you before? Haha!
-
2 RepliesA hunter can solo it easily legit as I have done the key is stopping shield regen of crota and if you can't you lose a hunter uses flame knives and flame grenades. I assume thus a warlock could use fusion based and finally a Titan maybe a pulse but in all likely good a dragons breath should also suffice

1 ReplyGrats on Ghorn!
-
Didn't someone solo it with no land beyond?
-
2 RepliesI saw somebody solo it with corrective measure believe it or not, so if somebody doesn't have galli and wants to try it lmg is a viable alternative but definitely no margin for error with it.
-
1 ReplyYup a Warlock did it with no gallarhorn and no self revive.
-
1 ReplyAnyone ever try hezen vengeance? I wonder if that would work even though it's 300 atk, it does have 3 in the tube.
-
3 RepliesHoC and a Grenade should work. Launch the nade and then fire your shots. By the time everything lands on him, you should be in motion to start swinging. WoL would help a lot too.

1 ReplyIf you have truth that does the job
-
6 RepliesPop weapons of light before you hit him?
-
3 RepliesI saw a warlock on youtube who used radiance and fusion grenades, you just have to time it right.

31 RepliesNeed to realise with more players, Crotas shield is stronger! If you're alone, you can take his shield down with 2 HoC or even 3 Hezen! It's hard because of the lack of consistency with those cluster bombs :( truth would be good also! But gally is just OP
-
3 RepliesOne way ticket 000 vanguard version will do fine 3 in tube and clusters Try it out and your welcome
-
3 RepliesI'm sure Dragons Breath will get the job done if you ask all the people making Dragons Breath > Gjallarhorn threads... I've done it with Gjallarhorn but haven't tried anything else. I'm sure you will at least need Armamentarium for 2 grenades tho. If you can find a place to stick a lightning grenade so it will hit him over and over I'm sure with HoC it would down him.
-
1 ReplySunsinger warlock with Viking funeral and touch of flame using fusion grenades can do it. A 331 gjallarhorn is by far the easiest way to go.
-
1 ReplyYes it is. Use Hunger of crota OR if you're a sun singer warlock pop radiance and keep hitting him with grenades.

3 RepliesEdited by xelon99: 1/5/2015 12:04:58 PMWarlocks can. You just need a 32 Warlock with fusion grenades and Touch of Flame. The Starfire Protocol and a high Discipline helps a lot At 31 you can't get enough damage on him. He'll have a sliver of health when your Super runs out. If I'm lucky I can get to 32 on Tuesday, then I'll confirm this
