What Hand Cannon do you use?
I'm about to buy a hand cannon which hand cannons do you guys use. I heard The Devil You Don't was pretty good.

Fatebringer, I'm mostly a pve player so I can't comment too much on the reliability of this hc in the crucible but pve it destroys

14 RepliesI use thorn or red hand, Found it hard to use hand cannons to begin with the thorn showed me the way, the only one I'm yet to master is TLW as I can't aim that for crap.

A really good legendary hc is The Fall Will Probably Kill You 1969 or TFWPKY 1969. It has a magazine of 10 and does lot's of damage. It came with the new dlc so you will be able to get it to 331 attack. Also, I don't have fatebringer, and it looks good, but I don't want to spend time doing the hard raid.

I use Thorn as an exotic but for legendaries I currently use A Devil You Don't that I got from a nightfall. It has a reload speed perk which works really well.

I got The chance from a level up package last night, with outlaw, perfect balance/explosive rounds, and I forget the name of the perk "A kill with the final round increases reload speed." It's a beast. Wish it got field scout but outlaw makes up for it.

Other than The Last Word, there are no better hand cannons to have. Since you are trying to buy one, I would not waste any marks on The Devil You Don't. It is terrible. I have the Venation III which is a great hand cannon, I got lucky enough to be given it when I reached a new Vanguard Rank. Edit: Or play Hard VoG until you get Fatebringer. It is as desirable as Thorn or TLW.

I would be patient and wait for a drop if I were you. There are much better HCs out there. Personally I use Fatebringer & Thorn.

Thorn for PvE, sometimes PvP. The Last Word for PvP. The Fatebringer for PvE when I need my Gjallahorn or Ice Breaker.

Edited by Arkiverge: 1/5/2015 3:01:07 PMI've tried a few but none seem as universally good as Fatebringer (from a PvE standpoint). There may be others that are situationlly better, but not enough to usually warrant the hassle of swapping out. For PvP, Thorn is almost impossible to argue against with that DoT.
