Call me crazy, but I still have hope for this game. Original content was cut. The Dark Below was almost finished by the time they realized the poor reviews for the game. But I have faith that Bungie/Activision can redeem themselves. Maybe not in the original game but in the sequel. If you look at other franchises histories', the first game is very weak but the sequel is considered one of the best. They learn off their mistakes, and hopefully Bungie/Activision does too. To give up on a game so early in its journey doesn't seem reasonable. This game still has potential. But of course, if they don't bounce back, this franchise has failed significantly. Only time will tell.

The one thing that I can't quite place a finger on is the following: When all of that drama went down at Bungie, why didn't they just delay the launch of the game by a few months, or even just push it to Christmas, in order to have the original vision come through to the finish? That would have solved ssssoooooo many problems and the game wouldn't be such a hollow shell

Edited by VinnieVlum: 1/30/2015 3:41:23 AMThats the first intelligent comment ive seen on the subject, although i do not really agree. there is too much evidence that which is said above is true, people seing content they shouldnt see. people finding content and even cutscenes in the program files. still i do agree we shouldnt write off the series completly but i do believe we should run around in circles around a campfire burning our destiny cd's i for one dont want any credit, but i have been true to my word at one point i hated the game so much, that i shut it off and i havent played it since. i think this is one of the biggest 60 dollar/euro assraping-high-definition-hours-grinding mistake in the world. ive been a bungie fan from the start but even theyve gotta be crying themselves to sleep over this piece of extremelly well smelling shit. I share your hope of the future series, but i must point out to you that they did release a DLC which made 60% of the game useless (with which i mean the instant armor and guns) and also took another .. bunch of money ( i dont know how much) out of the already tear or rage filled pockets of the gamers. If you sell a game thats bad fix it. and dont let people pay for the fix, thats just plain thievery. EDIT P.S. : Oh and if destiny 2 is bad, that will be the end of bungie for me. i think selling out halo to other developers who altered the story in a way fans couldn't exactly appreciate was a risky move. i think destiny was a idiotic move, so they better not make all those moves seem like a big -blam!- the gamers by releasing another bad game.

Destiny 2 will just be the same again with a slight continuation (still not completion) of the story that should have all been in the original game. I think they have screwed themselves and the 10 year plan wont survive the damage done to consumer opinion with the 1st game.

Do you have proof it will be the same?

Edited by Ven: 1/5/2015 9:03:07 PMYes, I can. I just did. People are jumping the gun. Sure it's a grind fest and I understand not everyone is going to like everything. This game has at least 9 years and 7 months left to improve. I have a feeling in one of the franchises sequels later on will become a hit and everyone will play again. We all know Bungie can do better, and they will. We are talking about the creators of one of the best franchises (before 343 took over) in gaming history.
