I love the lack of tolerance coming from those that ask for it themselves. Atheists or non-believers always ask for tolerance and to not "push" religion onto them or try to "shove it down their throat". Yet the moment a Christian makes a comment or asks if you believe or simply states that they believe, atheists jump at their throat trying to convince said person that God does not exist. Where is the tolerance in this? Before a bunch of atheists comment saying that they do not, I'm not referring to you. I'm referring to the 50% of the people who replied to this thread saying that God doesn't exist and spend their time trying to convince this person that God doesn't exist.
This thread is a perfect example of what I stated. What did this Christian state that offended you so deeply? Are there any Christian players on Xbox 360 or PS3? Followed by "just curious". No where did he say that God is real or that atheist are ignorant or anything else that can be viewed as him pressing his religion on you. Yet, all these atheists jump at his throat saying that God isn't real. All these atheists insult this person for what exactly? Asking if there are any players who share the same views as him on Xbox or PS who would like to play. I fail to see the insult.
I'm sorry if this post insults anyone who did not try to rip this poor guys throat out. And if you did insult or attack this man, I sure as hell hope this insults you. So many atheists wonder why they are viewed in such a bad light. Take a look at this thread. Take in the insults and the scorn and the verbal attacks and all the criticism, and then look back at what was asked. Many atheists don't deserve to be viewed in such a harsh light, a large majority to be honest. But this is where the harsh light comes from. It comes from those that have no tolerance for others and then wonder why no one has tolerance for them.
I am a Christian, so those atheists that were insulted and feel that this post has no significance because I am a Christian, I don't care what you believe in. I don't care if you believe in God; I don't care if you believe in nothing; I don't care if you believe that a talking potato that speaks in a lousy British accent and wears a fedora while playing bagpipes is the "Almighty". What you believe does not matter to me one bit. We have different beliefs and that is it. I'm simply stating this from just looking at this thread.
To those who attacked this guy, I'm not looking for apologies. I do not expect them. Apologies are given by people that have respect for other human beings; they are not given by those who are selfish, ignorant, and arrogant. Again, I apologize to any atheist or non-believer that defended this guy or did not insult him if this post insults you. I did not and do not mean for it to.

Yes god mm mm oh god how I love thee and all thy alter boy -blam!- priests. Religion is purely a second form of governance. Expecially Christianity's crock of shit. I'd rather be a Buddhist them follow some pedophile cult.

Such ignorance. You really should know what you're talking about before you bash something on something. Also believing in God is of your own free will, while in other Eastern countries you will be killing if you don't believe in the Islam or Muslim God. And it's not a cult nor is it based around pedophiles who are really horrid people who need to find another hobby

Umadbro?
-
No why would I be? I think it's rather sad that I and others that believe in God are getting so much hate for believing what we do.
-
Your so mad.
-
Well if you rewind the clock 400 years people were being killed for not believing in Christ so...

Hail hitler

I'm an atheist and I like everything I just read from you. No matter which way you look at it in the end after everything is all said and done what do you have to look forward to? Death. We were all born to die and what you believe or don't believe is entirely up to you.

That's the way it should be shouldn't it? It shouldn't matter what you believe; we are all humans, fellow men and women who are different only in what we believe happens after death. Yet, many try to rip out others throat over this simple belief system. It is sad that we as people in the 21st century cannot accept what others believe if it doesn't coincide with our individual belief.
