Seriously i have shadow price and hard light and my buddy has suros. I'm really digging my hard light but I have to admit in crucible shadow price and suros are just far better. Shadow price in particular is just far more effective.
It's more accurate, far more stable, puts out better damage in a shorter amount of time and is just far easier to use without dedicating most of its upgrades to stability. Don't get me wrong I love hard light and prefer to use it over the others but every time I do I feel like I'm slightly gimping myself.
Does anyone else feel the same about these 2 guns in particular that they are just too good?

Vanquisher VIII and Grim Citiizen are pretty decent too

1 ReplyI got Vanquisher ahead of shadow price

Up for anything is a damn good gun if you give it a chance. I use high caliber rounds to make up for the impact and it has range finder on as well. I thought it would suck but I really love it.

1 ReplyHard Light is a handy gun overall, it gets less credit than it deserves. Useful in almost all situations

6 RepliesYou know that you can max stability with hard light and it hits harder than suros with the over penetrate ability? Try it out and get back to me.

Vanquisher FTW

4 RepliesI know Shadow Price is amazing. Mine came with some good drops and a 42 round mag was a bonus for me (field scout). Suros is good because it's an exotic version of Shadow Price, healing you if you get a kill. Its stability and impact is remarkable, although, with stability upgrades, Hard Light can be one hell of a competitor.

3 RepliesEdited by Wheeze: 1/2/2015 3:47:50 PMA fully upgraded Hard Light is functionally just as stable as Shadow Price/Vanquisher/Grim Citizen. You will also shred most AR users as long as you're in close range. I treat Hard Light like a SMG and I seem to do ok with it. Personally, I just think it's the most fun AR out of the bunch, regardless of whether or not it's the "best."

Impact helps determine how much damage it does and also staggers enemies. While hard light has a high rate of fire it has no impact.

Mythoclast is just as good

Edited by Mellow Man055: 1/2/2015 4:01:52 PMSuros is worth what ever price you have to pay I got lucky and won it in the crucible but it is my favorite gun in the game by far

Impact. It's all about impact

I have had two different versions of the Shadow Price. One I bought and the other was an engram. After I got my VoG Raid weapons I scrapped them both. I still have my Vanquisher VII for some reason. It's just so Bad @ss. I don't use an auto rifle in the crucible but if I do, I use Serous or that first gun you get in the game(I forget what it's called). No Hard Light here... Yet.

1 ReplyI am a former Shadow Price user, and I think that the answer is pretty simple. Balance. Not, balance, as in how it balances against other weapons, but how the stats are very balanced. Suros Regime seems to be similar, from what I've seen about it, although I do not have one. It is the same reason that I personally disliked ARs like Gallahad and Sahara earlier on, because they had an "extreme" perk - namely putting a high ROF with a ridiculously small impact, etc. Shadow Price could be used as a mid-range tool of destruction, and treated like a weakened Scout, or it could lay down enough damage with a moderate impact that it was useful in close quarters, as well. At least, that is my opinion as to why. :-)

2 RepliesVanquisher 8 is pretty much a copy of Shadow except for the perks, range, and mag size.

I do so wish that I could upgrade my Shadow Price like you can the exotics. It's been my favorite Auto for a long time, though I'll admit I've never had the Suros.

1 ReplyI have the new Vanquisher with mag perk from engram. Better than Suros.

Edited by boff: 1/2/2015 3:45:29 PMyeah il be keeping the shadow price for crucible, most of the new auto rifles have seriously low impact, so weak, they get out gunned close range mid range and long range....tbh there is no place for low impact autos in crucible, and thats all the new vendors are offering....shotguns beat them close range, fusions beat them mid range/close range, hand canons scout rifles and snipers beat them long range. They have no range where they have an advantage....saying this I think vanquisher viii is an ok 331 gun, as long as it isnt the vendor model.

2 RepliesThe Vanquisher is close to shadow price if you need a new gun
