What i think happened with xur...CHAPTER 2
Xur: so my lords, its new years! Everyones kind of pissed at me for bringing them no land beyond though.....
The nine: so what its the new year?
Xur: nevermind....ugh...so whats for the titans?
The nine: oh yes...it shall be the stand aside boot things....
Xur: really? Exotic boots?
The nine: -blam!-ing take them or we will NEVER sell the glasshouse.
Xur: fine.....hunters?
The nine: oh we love those hunters! Lets give them the dont touch me gauntlets!
Xur: another dlc piece of armour...okay then. Warlocks?
The nine start yelling in disgust*
The nine:Ugh bloody warlocks!
Xur: my lords please, they havent had anything good for a while, and they really want heart of the praxic fire
The nine: well they aint getting it!
Xur: ugh...what will it be?
The nine: i think starfish protocol would be good enough for them to shutup.
Xur: its better than voidfang or sunbreakers i suppose.....weapons? They have been dying for the gjallarhorn. I dont blame them! It has seeking rockets that split into even more seeking rockets!
The nine: naaah they dont want that! Why dont we give them dragons breath! Thats way better! It leaves a solar flare after detonation!
Xur: but....its not as good as gjallarhorn....and its dlc weapons...come to think of it...everythings dlc stuff...
The nine: well those little bastards on earth better get the dlc then eh??

Ikora Rey enters and is menacingly staring at him. It's only common sense. Keep grinding out raid chests(I got Red Death this week and an upgraded version of Thunderlord, two weeks back), PVP (I got Gjallarhorn in here a few months back, as well as Patience And Time), and Nightfalls(I've gotten most exotic in the game here lol) and you'll eventually get it. There's a reason why Bungie doesn't sell some of the best exotics here. If everyone had one, Bungie would have to do what every MMO does...Nerf it, in order to inspire people to use other weapons and buff unpopular weapons e.g. No Land Beyond.
