Ban Fusion Rifles in Crucible
I have no problem with shotguns since you have to get in really close with them, or employ some sort of hideout strategy. Fusion Rifles on the other hand require zero talent and are irritating in the Crucible.
Just ban them. I like the fusion rifle in PvE

They ban fusion rifles, people will complain about shotguns. They ban shotguns, people will complain about campers with snipers. They ban snipers people will complain there isn't enough secondary weapons for crucible.

Biased poll is biased. Anyway, the problem is the availability of special ammo in crucible, not the weapons themselves. Nothing special about a special weapon if you're using it as a primary. Why do we have a new "nerf shotgun/fusion/sniper" thread every day? Come on, people.

1 ReplyI don't do PVP much, just started doing it a few weeks ago to finally hit rank 3 crucible on at least one character and now for IB. It's fun, even if some things are over powered than others, gives you a challenge... I don't really have a problem with fusion rifles, but special ammo in general shouldn't be as common as it is. It should drop like heavy ammo and 1.5 more often than heavy and you start with 1 magazine. I do however think that fusion rifles should not be able to ADS or the "spread" on them should be far less predictable/controllable. Right now they just climb the ladder, while I feel like they should zigzag around and move in arcs, not just up and down. Definitely don't have a problem with shotguns, bungie just needs to put in some none close quarters maps so that rumble isn't just a shotgun fest. Changing how often special ammo appears would solve the problem to though. Sniper rifles should have a penalty to accuracy after moving or force you out of ADS if you move (not referring to looking around while in ADS, just to "dancing" while in ADS), but i've begun to not care and have started to be able to out snipe the snipers with my hand cannon with some good foot work and less predictable movement. Also being conscious of how you are moving helps too. Be less predictable with your movements and you wont get pwned by them nearly as often.

No. Why would you complain about fusion rifles then say shotguns are fine. Utter bias. But hey, let's follow your logic here. I hate fusion rifles and shotguns! We need to bad both. You should only be able to snipe because that's the only special weapons I use! You see the blatant flaw in your logic and clear bias in your poll? Either way it's obvious you need to get better at the game if you're complaining about a gun/special/class.

Honestly I have been using my fusion rifle out of boredom. I do better with auto rifles and hand cannons though but its fun to use fusion. For me its harder to charge that crap while your being shot at and keep it aimed than just mowing someone down with an auto rifle. Its a pretty obvious sound when someone charges it around you. Unless they have plan c full upgraded i find it easy to stay out of the way. Dont sit still when you hear that charging sound!
