Everyone is spoon fed...

Simple as that. I feel that gear and weapons are incredibly easy and simple to get in Destiny. Yet, everyone wants better rewards, better drops, more than one chance on nightfalls and raids per character, better cryptarch results, a trading system and for Xur to sell exactly what you want, when you want. I feel like I snagged all exotics, all raid gear, and all exotics for titans way to quickly. I have friends who have gotten multiple Gjallarhorns, thunderlords, suros, and I myself have gotten well over 20 mythoclasts. Bungie has already made this game easier to acquire gear by enhancing drops, giving the cryptarch a kinder outlook on life, and Xur is there every week, (hopefully he'll never sell another Plan C again), so there is so many chances to do an activity that everyone knows has high drop chances for legendary and exotic gear. I have three titans, so I run six raids, three nightfalls, three heroics, a daily mostly everyday, level up factions, and regularly level up master rahool. All of those have a high chance to give me something of high value. That's over 20 possible ways to acquire legendary engrams, weapons, armor and exotics. Point is pretty simple. If they make Destiny to have any higher drop chances or many more ways to get desirable loot, then what will there be to do after you reach the max level and have all the gear in the game? Not a whole lot. All it takes is some time devoted to the proper activities. They really do not need to make this game any easier than it already is.

    • What if I told you some people play the game because they like it rather than purely to obtain gear.

      • Well most people have put in 200+ hours into the game and haven't got the gear that they crave. Is that really people being lazy or people fed up with a completely random loot system that is only their for artificial longevity? Answer me that

        • i understand your point of view but do not try to speak on Everyones behalf or claim Everyone deos this or that. Not everyone does as you claim. example my cryptarch reputation rank is 146 , vanguard reputation rank is 32 , i have seen two legendarys from cryptarch packages , and the same pulse rifle everytime i have leveled up vanguard ( although they changed the name its still the same damn gun. i dont use pulse rifles ) . thats not to say i havent gotten stuff from other drops and such . heck even got vex mythoclast after 22 raids on hard the day before the dlc was released was when i got it. never got the gallihorn dispite giving this game more than ample opportunitys to gift me with it , was one coin short the week xur sold it dispite grinding strikes 13 hours straight and never saw that one damn coin before xur left the tower.
got pissed went to bed after xur left the tower , next day first strike i played i receved a strange coin -_- i so wanted to mail my ps3 with destiny + a pound of c-4 inside it to bungie as a thank you for that one.
i have grinded my trigger happy ass off on this game and so few times have gotten what i was after . so far i can only recall getting one gun i was grinding for ( hawkmoon ) i created a second hunter just to run vog again that week to try for the hawkmoon and first run got hawkmoon ......-_- . i am over or should be over 150,000 kills around 600 hours on main character and i have half of what i should have amassed by now. i have a few friends with less than half the time and kills yet they have double the exotics 0-o explain that shit for me ! guess my point is this loot system does need to be rebuilt from base code up. they claim its random .... i beg to differ , this system favors the weak and casuals . rack up over 200 kills on a strike cause you were the.only one there untill the final room and two join at the last second and dont even have time to get a kill yet both are rewarded with legendary engrams and all i was rewarded with was two level 20 rares ......... not even a rare engram -_- <<< THIS has happend multiple times even seen exotics go to friends jumping in at last second ............ i am grateful for what i do have but when i see posts like yours a few words come to mind .....

Using rng to prolong a game due to a lack of endgame content is not something that should be encouraged. YOU might get what you want a decent rate, but I know people who've been shafted by the VOG even after 30 completions, but they were still stuck at 29 til Iron Banner 2.0 came around. Drops need to be good, and they need to reward consistently and based on how well you've played. There's no reason the person who did the worst should get the best reward. What Destiny needs is MORE content and a better reward system. I don't need rare engrams at level 24 - 32. There needs to be a lot more to do. They have three whole planets and one moon, yet you're confined to small spaces and punished with death if you venture too far out. There's no sort of community event. You're limited on how much currency you can hold and how much progress you can make in a week. The need to work on allowing us to explore, find information on the golden age because the have a great story in the Grimoires, bi-weekly release either new exotic/special legendary gear for the classes/weapons, or a brand new story mission/strike with upped difficulty for a good reward and experience to keep the game fresh. People don't mind grinding. They just don't like grinding with no foreseeable way out of grinding. At some point, you should have been rewarded. I still love the game, but I can see its flaws very well. Granted, this is their first game away from Halo, so I'm not expecting perfection.

            • Agreed.. It can suck, but it should stay the same.. I have a 31 of each class and still no icebreaker... But other than that I have about everything one could want two exotics from nightfall this week alone, just suros and radiant dance machines but still... My hunter and warlock are both ready to hit 32 only radiant shards needed.

            • My exact thoughts! This post is brilliant and i Completly agree. People that complain about things need to learn that this game is a grind and its all RNG. Put more time in and get the rewards you want wether its in the next 5 try's or the next 500.

              • I run one if each, I did run 3 hunters My hunter only got raid boots n gloves, and so far one epilogue and one preadyths revenge. Only ever won three exotics, ghorn, ice breaker and suros, the last two after I gave in and bought them. So while you've been highly lucky with RNG some of us have not.

                • Completely agree. I still don't have a select few exotics, and I've already replaced every single one I own with 331 upgrades, as well as getting DLC ones. There's nothing special about exotic guns, they are so commonplace that the alure wore off really fast. I don't understand why people piss and moan over them

                • I have no Ghorn or Icebreaker. But I really want an Icebreaker. Really, I do. It seems to me that the drop rate has indeed been buffed for ROC and I have no complaints. You can have gear drops all day, but without the ascendant material you hit a leveling ceiling pretty quickly. That's what I'm stuck at anyway. I have heartburn with dismantling legendaries, although I'll have to eventually. Before the drop rate buff I didn't raid enough to hit the actual level cap. I still have not run CE so it looks like I won't hit the cap this time either. No problems here. Hard to find a good compromise in drop rates. I think it's much better now as it used to feel ridiculously low.

                • Maybe you got lucky with drops but I made extra warlocks so that I could try and get full sets of raid gear and exotics like gjollahorn or icebreaker. Still nothing. Everyone around me gets them. But not I. Everything I have is bought, except for a few items. I've ran both raids, every week, since the game launched. Not counting the first week cause of lvling up. And I know there's others like me. Bungie rewards some player heavily, and some with nothing but shards for gear that's irrelevant. It's bull $4!+. Not to mention zur and his $4!+y items. Only the first couple weeks were good. Now we get "no land beyond". The most lame exotic I've seen. Up there with the remote. And it's a 2.0 weapon!?!? Good job bungie. I will say this, it seems like the sucky players and female players get anything and everything there is. The worst player on the chart in pvp will get rewarded for it. And the girl players I've been with that are basically only good for resing people, will get an ice breaker. So if you want to get stuff guys, make a female account with psn, and then suck horribly. And once you get everything your heart desires, come out of the closet, giving the middle finger to bungie, yelling, "tricked you bitches! I'M A MAN, and I got the ice breaker and gjollahorn. Suck it bungie". Or something like that.

                      • I work about 10 hours a day and have a family. I come home, eat dinner and put the kid to sleep then start the grind. You're absolutely right about putting in the effort in the right places. Find a group of good friends with the same or near same schedule as you. Then learn how to do everything TOGETHER. Mistakes happen and a lot of patience is needed but with time comes chemistry and cohesion. You already know that your back is covered and things run way smoother. All my destiny friends are randos from the tower and their friends. Research is a necessity. I watch different videos a day to see what new strats, exploits, and rewards are given. I only have 2-4 hours of gameplay a day (6-8 if I sacrifice my sleep when I'm having a good run), so anything to give me more time to play instead of walking around aimlessly in the tower is a plus. Raids have to completed without cheese. Once its embedded into their system what to do, they're more experienced and aware. The awareness alone is what seperates if someone had potential to be a regular raid member. Its easy to see/hear if someone isn't shooting when they're supposed to. Gear should not matter. Gear is going to come regardless. If you don't know how to use the gear to your advantage, that's your loss. Strength, intellect and discipline should be taken into account to assist in your play style. The game has been out for a little bit and everyone wants EVERYTHING like they expected Activision to NOT -blam!- them in the ass. You'll get it eventually. Just play, if not there's plenty of other games to play. According to Bungie, its a 10 year game so relax lol But a strong group of friends and raiders should make the game fun. I have contests in game with sparrow races to checkpoints, who can finish bounties faster, random knife throwing battles between hunters etc... If you can't make it fun, why bother? Oh and Crucible is nothing but baiters and campers. Had a real bad time believing it was 6v6 instead of 1+1+1+1+1+1 vs 1+1+1+1+1+1+1.Real crucible matchmaking should be made between 6 man teams. Because nothing is more fun than strategically -blam!- other clans and groups and winning by 12k points. #TeamGjallahorn FTW #HappyNewYear

You really want to know what to do when you have everything in the game? You: 1) Trash everything and start all over. 2) Wait for more content like a regular person. 3) Get a new game to waste your life on. Those are literally the options in virtually every game. You either start over (depending on the replay value of the game), or you move on. I'm fine if you have no life and spend an unhealthy amount of time playing video games, I really am, but don't bitch and whine in this weak attempt of a bragging shitpost. I don't mind if things are easy or hard to get in any video game, I can live with any difficulty a game throws at me. But relying so totally on RNG and the randomness of this game while punishing people who cannot aspire to your pale complexion and glossy neckbeard is just wrong. It's not that things are easy or hard to get in this game, but they're totally random. Literally all you can do is play forever hoping you get what you need while waiting for some good games to come out.

This guy right here. You have three Titans ya bum, of course you'll have all the Titan exotics fairly quick. Also, you have completed vog how many times on hard to have received, what was it, "well over 20 vex", I hardly believe that after viewing your profile. I have friends that have five or six max and myself about the same. By the way, I have 21 exotic weapons and countless gear, but I still dislike receiving a legendary from a nightfall. Period. You're a bum with three of the same character talking about "nothing to do". Well we see the real reason now. Also, I believe luck has been on your side quite a bit.

You are in the minority my friend. I have played and played and played, since day one. Still no "great" weapons. Sure I have the usual exotics from bounties... Pocket infinity, super good advice, thorn.., got plan-c on a drop, and bought patience and time from Xur. My best scout is Cryptic Dragon, and then I have a couple Zombie apocalypse heavies. That's it. Nothing really stands out as a great weapon. The great ones remain elusive. And six raids plus all that other stuff per day? Man you have a lot of free time. You figure 30 mins per raid, 15 mins per nightfall and/or weekly and or daily... 15 mins per crucible match... That's like 5-6 hours per day. A work day is 8 hours. Plus meals, time with kids/ family... Where do you squeeze that kind of game time in? Plus once you get one weapon like Vex or Gjallahorn, or ice breaker... then everything else comes so much easier, so your data is a bit skewed. Try to do raids quickly with only average weapons/ armor, like many of us.
