When I used to work for the tree division of the power company, they made us go to yearly safety seminars and showed us some of the most horrific images I've ever seen. It worked. That stuff stays with you and I've avoided any major mistakes so far.

  • Did they ever show you those safety PSA's? In Canada, I've never seen it myself, but there was a PSA campaign called "there are no mistakes" and holy shit they had some messed up commercials. This one I think is just...holy shit....
one was a woman, she's a head chef, talking about how tomorrow she would be getting married, then she picks up a large pot of boiling water. "But im not gonna be there tomorrow, im about to be involved in an accident" she walks near a spill on the floor "I mean I should have had help carrying this, and someone should have cleaned up that oil spi-"the woman falls back, the hot water pours on her face, a brief glimpse of...well you know...her burned skin, Is shown. A man in the background runs over yelling that there's been an accident. Cut to black as the woman unleashes shrieks of unending agony.
• 1
Similar, but nothing that well produced. Mostly still images of the "aftermath" while a commentator told the story of what happened. Ours were tailored more closely to our job so it was all electrocution, chainsaw, and wood chipper accidents.
