Destiny 2 wishes.

I was wondering what are your wishes for Destiny 2? What features you guys would like to see in it? I know most of you (me included) would like to see the the Destiny 1 getting major improvements on many things. But what if they won't do those? So what would those be? For me it's: 1. While I like more vague story, I think they could have done better job implementing Grimoire to the game or just giving some ingame clues of what characters are. So I hope they improve their writing and make it more like "interesting and worth investigating", than "WTF I just played?". They obviously loved Dark Soul's minimalistic storytelling, but it has to be done "right". 2. Better non-story related side quests, more variety and plenty of them. I'd love to see more involving side quests, rather than vague "kill some guys, yo!" or "Go here and scan that stuff, brah!". And the factions need to be involved in PVE as well as PVP. Not just being PVP factions. Patrol in general needs to be more interesting. Having enemies randomized would be a good easy sollution for this. And having some other random "events" than just public ones. Maybe ambushes or "escort missions" (done properly thou)? 3. Strikes could benefit from being bit more randomized in enemy composition as well. Because Strikes aren't as tightly scripted as Raids are, they could switch things around more. Especialy if you change difficulty. 4. I don't PVP, but I think the maps were too much close quarter-spirited, that made the shotguns and weapons that are designed for that shine bit too bright. How about more open ground on the maps? 5. Maybe some alternative for Raids in PVE? Not to put all your money into the raid experience, but give things for those who don't simply enjoy the tightly scripted raid experience. That's it for now, what you guys think should be implemented in Destiny 2?

  • I actually think some PvE assault and defend maps would be interesting. Maybe set them up like fire bases or outposts that need to either be captured or defended. The assaults could be straight forward go in and kill all of the defending units with a mini boss at the end. The defense missions could be a wave defense of increasing difficulty where the fire team goes a set amount of waves with an option to continue or quit. Maybe also set up some consoles to defend that activate and keep automated defenses running, and the capture of a command console or team wipe is a fail . Have these instances start at a random time with varying difficulty levels. Maybe enemies on earth could be relatively easy and get more difficult as you advance through the other planets similar to the progression of the story (assuming there is one). Each instance can last for a set amount of time (maybe a day or two) and keep track of the total wins and losses. An overall win in the guardians favor could then have a positive impact in the City like things cost less and better gear could be purchased, and a loss could have the opposite outcome. Something like this could give all players a sense that they are fighting together for something and that they have some control over the dynamics of their environment. In a sense we all succeed or fail together. I also apologize in advance if the grammar sucks. I'm down with the flu, and was rambling a and brainstorming.
