Blade of Crota won't drop Husk of the Pit?
I have been farming blades of crota all day for about 8 hours and have yet to see it drop?

Switch locations (different areas on both earth and moon). Did Fist of Crota a few hundred times when HotP finally dropped when I killed a Blade of Crota sword bearer on the moon at the start of The Sword of Crota mission doing a bounty. Keep at it. It will drop eventually. I wouldn't focus on it, but if you see a BoC event starting in your travels, go to it.

sucks for you i got 2 on my b-day dec 21st in a 20 min span then got 3 last night i got 1 fully upgraded just need to beat crota on hard

Farm fist of crota. Go past mobs and omniful. Into building. Kill blade. Rinse repeat. Try datoo does destiny dor better explanation.

I have one for each character (3) it is all luck man nothing special about it.

Stop trying and it will drop for you. This seems to be the norm for this drop.

the first one i got on my second try doing the fist of crota mission. my second one i was on patrol in cosmodrome doing the 20 fusion rifle kill bounty minding my own business. nowhere near the blade of crota guy. i could hear the screeching noise when summoning him but i couldnt see him and when some randoms killed him it showed up on my screen lol.

Was just having fun on earth patrol, wasnt even looking for it or something. Killed some blade of crota bastards, went to the tower, and then the postmaster had something for me, there it was..

Yes they do. Its just pure luck when it drops. I got Husk of the pit to both my characters from the first DLC story mission after killing the blade of crota.

I have been playing Fist of Crota as well as many many patrol missions and have never got it myself either. I play FoC at least 3 times a day if not more, and I am on daily as well. I jave a few guardians in my clan who have started new characters since launch of DLC, and i'd say out of the 4 we have with new people they all have the Husk Of The Pit as WHite drops were very common for them, and all but impossible for a lvl 31 warlock to find on his travels.

Got it on about the 9th Fist of Crota attempt of legitimately trying to get it, aside from doing the daily bounty for killing the sword guy. Then yesterday I got another one just because I stumbled on a ritual on the moon while heading to a public event.

This game must hate me, if there is a way to check the amount of Blades of Crota I have slain it would be close to 200 if not more and in that time i'd say 30 have dropped black wax idols, a further 20 or so silken Codex and 0 Husk's ... Destiny Y u be so mean!

It will drop young padawan. In due time. . . . On a serious note took me like 12 hours of farming in 3 days to get one. Keep farming eventually itll drop for you dude, good luck.

Don't worry because as soon as you obtain one, they'll start dropping like the panties on a two-bit hooker in Las Vegas. I have had more luck with lower level characters randomly getting them.
