Win = Exotics 99.9% of the time.
The other .1% is getting the complete drop on someone that isn't level 31
Before you cry noob I have to say this:
Before getting my exotic armor & weapon: Owned 24/7, it was pathetic.
After getting exotic armor & weapons: destroying everything. Full auto fusion rifles & auto rifle = lolcopter

As a VERY "noob" pvper [my CR/KD ratio proves that] i actually think this is one of the more fair pvp games out there. I didn't feel totally outclassed right from the start, yes the more experienced and better equipped players out there were far better than me but after getting a few good drops i have been able to close the gap [learning the maps and actually learning players techniques help too]. I have ONE Legendary armour on me while all the rest are rares, yet these last few days i've gone from being bottom half of the table to top half on a consistent basis. Purely from increasing my own skill, yes i still have a LONG way to go before im even considered to be good, but as a new pvper? I love the learning curve that the crucible has. Not once have i felt that i couldn't contribute anything. Now if they can just increase the max crucible marks i can get in a week i'll be happy :)

Why does it need to be balanced? Shouldn't an exotic kill faster than a legendary? It's not call of duty.

Your bad scrub.

A vanquisher will kill me if I miss a single shot with my red death

Its pretty much "lets take these guardians with all there weapons and armor and toss them into a pvp setting".

21 RepliesYou are missing the real issue with PvP. Simply put guns in Destiny are too OP and let scrubs just sit back and rack up free kills in Crucible. Obviously guns have broken the delicate balance of the system since they have been introduced, and need to be fixed in the next update. This can easily be accomplished by making the impact and range on all guns equal to zero. Unfortunately like a hydra, every time you cut a head off of this problem another three spring up. I am of course referring to the Gunslinger's Golden Gun, Voidwalker's Nova, and Sunsinger's Grenades for days. Clearly these are OP abilities that break the game since they allow you to target your enemy from a distance and easily kill them, just like guns. The grenade issue is simple enough to deal with if we remove all grenades from every class. This equals everything out and gives everyone a fair chance based on real skill, and not crutches that casuals like to lean on. As for Golden Gun and Nova these are clearly out but since they would break their respective subclasses it is best just to remove Gunslingers and Voidwalkers from the game. Without these handicaps it will take real skill to succeed in the crucible and we can finally get rid of those filthy filthy subhuman casuals that insist on playing these OP classes. But like Sisyphus as soon as we near the acme of PvP gaming we tumble back down. The Sunsinger Fireborn ability is too broken to allow in PvP as it gives them an unfair advantage over other classes and without that and their grenade spam there exists no reason to have the subclass. Therefor we must do away with Warlocks all together. This brings us to Bladedancer. As anyone who has played PvP can tell you, the arc blade require no skill what so ever. It is simply button mashing for free kills, and has the lowest bar for entry for any class. Without guns to counter act this threat Bladedancers are given free reign over the Crucible. I for one can not stand the thought of those smug little fruits prancing around like the cock of the walk because no means to counter act them exists. The only solution to the game breaking nature of the Bladedancer is to remove the subclass, hell the whole Hunter class, from the game. Now I know what you are thinking. Finally we can have a real test of skills now that we are left with the pure and perfect Titan class. HOWEVER there is an ugly blight upon the good name of the titans, and that is defender. Rather than openly facing their opponents in a test of skill and strength, they resort to cowardly tactics like hiding in their bubble that detract from the core of gameplay. We absolutely must remove defenders so that the cheese maybe removed and the scrubs will no longer be able to hide behind such simple tactics. And so we finally arrive at the heart of Destiny. The pearl among the swine. Striker. No guns No grenades Shoulder Charge Fist of Havoc Final Destination.

1 ReplyYou're surprised the best weapons in the game perform like the best weapons in the game? Leave.

The crucible is all about skill. The higher levels with their powerful weapons only seem more powerful because they probably had more experience in the crucible and can use their grenades and abilities efficiency enough to kill other players quickly. I've seen some higher level player do absolutely horrible even with their better weapons, the guns don't matter it just matters how good you are with the guns that you do have. Thats not to say that weapons dont help, cause they do. Also it is soo satisfying to kill the player who is recking shop with their exotic. But of course everything I said is completely nullified when your in the iron banter, then the weapon and gear do matter.

Good gear helps you win?
-
Lol. Played on my cousins level 20 hunter, with all greens and blues, still got first place with a 4.0+ KD and won the game. You just suck at the game.
-
I out gun people with a few black suros. It's just all about how skilled you are with your gun...and if you're a warlock. Then you beat all
-
I played my secondary character from 5-20 in 8 hours via crucible. I used a white level 3 AR Rifle, white level 3 Shotgun (which I kept in my vault until I ran out of space because it was so good), and green level 6 newb tube. I did not have my subclass perks unlocked and was still first or second in the leader boards most of the time. Freakin' hilarious. When I make a 3rd character will be just as fun. It's more skill than you think.

Your pvp stats = lolcopter. Gitgudscrub

1 ReplyOmg... you know I'm not one to talk shit... but you sir are a huge fool! Only in IB does your weapon armor really matter! I played my warlock back when he was lvl 13 in crucible for a week and honestly I easily managed a 2.0 k/d. With good olé commons doesn't matter the weapon or armor. A lvl 5 can kill a lvl 32 with out a issue. Just gotta be good... so sit down or just play better. The only real difference is your mindset on the weapon. Either you play with it like a real weapon and you do fine...or you play with it as if it's weak cause its a common/rare..and omg your gonna play like shit. Putting a limitation on it does the same to yourself. You play different when you have certain attitudes to your weapon and armor. So simple...grow a pair charge and -blam- them dirty sluts up XD
-
A rare Shingen E auto rifle can mow down most enemies. Tactics are still way more important than the actual weaponry.
-
Step your game up. I have beat exotics with rares before you just need better skill. At any rate an exotic is supposed to be more powerful than everything that is the point. Sigh some people....
-
5 RepliesI use a rare pulse rifle and I have a 3.5 K/D so....
