dead orbit vs New monarchy vs future war cult

another consideration is material trade-in for rank. fwc accepts spirit bloom, not sure what new monarchy or dead orbit accept. certainly not a major consideration tactically, but if you wanna get rid of supplies you've been accumulating, you can switch around between the factions.

Dead Orbit will never steer you wrong. Their armor is basic, nothing extraordinary but rank up to level 3 and you'll have access to their gun collection. Their weapons are unique because they modify existing firearms and tweak them for the better. I have 5/6 of their weapons, and I can tell you that their firearms are second ONLY to exotics. Plus, common.. they look really cool too. (My only complain is that they don't offer a hand cannon, but still.. I can just go to the Vanguard and buy the stuff that isn't offered by DO. So what I'm saying is that your options aren't as limited as you might think.) If you do join - I'd recommend the weapons "Patch-A" (shotgun) and especially the "Hung Jury SR4" (Scout).

Edited by Nizzy 303: 12/29/2014 11:00:11 PMFaction depends alot on how you want to optimize armor. FWC specializes in Intellect and Discipline. So using supers and huckin' grenades. You can't max out all 3 stats, but you can top out at least one ( usually more than you can use with an Exotic armor piece). New Monarchy specializes in Intellect and Strength. Dead Orbit specializes in Strength and Discipline. This is true purely when buying Faction Gear from vendors, as rank up awards, drops and engrams are randomly rolled stats.. The armor will also have different perks for which weapon types they benefit. If you like Pulse Rifles, pick armor gives you more ammo and faster reloading to optimize your loadout. Also, Vanguard is mostly focused on Intellect and Strength, boots go Strength and Discipline. I don't know about pure Crucible, but it usually looks cooler sans shader versus Vanguard.

Vanquisher is one of the best legendary auto-rifles in the game as of now. Judgement and Crusader are decent. You also have the chance to earn the Red Hand IX through ranking up, which is a highly sought-after hand cannon. [b]Dead Orbit[/b] - gear focuses on melee + grenades. Lack of Intellect on their gear is a huge disappointment. Deviant Gravity and Hide and Seek are very solid guns. Ranking up their rep is the only known way to obtain the all-black shader, Revenant. Venation III is a decent hand cannon, but is only earned through ranking up. [b]Future War Cult[/b] - gear focuses on grenades + supers. Decent for pretty much any starting player. Chance, Crash, and Calling are decent weapons, but not overly amazing. Depends what suits you the most.

I don't get why people only like melee and grenades than your super. If you invest more on your super, trust me you'll wield it after 2 minutes.

No faction gear or weapons is end game. Therefore pick whichever you think looks coolest. Shader is pretty much the only thing you'll use (and why everyone picks Dead Orbit).

I like future war cult. A lot of their weapons look pretty cool to me with the FWC written on the side of them. I'm also a big fan of using my grenades and super faster.

Only thing I want from factions is weapons, the red hand 9 and vanquisher 8 are what make me love New Monarchy (even though I don't have the vanquisher yer lol)

Doesn't each have their own backstory and your choice supposed to show which direction you think the game should go with destiny 2 :/ I seem to recall seeing a detailed post about this... I'd already chose FWC as I wanted hand cannon gloves or something XD

whichever you like most. personally I love Dead Orbit weapons. their machine gun does great damage, good impact, but a small mag. their Fusion rifle is just awesome I've got both DO and NM to rank 7, going to w irk on FWC and see if I get anything cool
