Ranking a Titan, should I get The Armamentarium?
On level 12 but trying to think ahead. I play PvE mainly. Should I buy this while Xur is offering? Thanks for any help! Sorry if this has been asked a hundred times... :(

It's worth it in pve just for the ammo bonuses. The 2nd grenade is just gravy. I'm playing around with ruin wings right now, but I'll go back to armamentarium, at least temporarily once they're leveled.

For pvp yes. Pve not so mutch.

No. Its ugly as hell imo. Ruin Wings are better.

No. Second grenade is on a flat charge. Meaning discipline doesn't come into play. And the heavy ammo doesn't stack with the raid boots heavy ammo. Neither the special ammo if you have it. I'd suggest Helm of Saint-14 or Ruin Wings over arma any day

It was my first exotic armour piece, it's great on either class, so it really helps, good for beginners, we were all there once, helps you learn how to use your grenades effectively.

Two things a titan can really benefit from are the armamentarium and the helm of saint 14. I've yet to get that helm but I have a few titan friends who use that helmet a lot and we implement it so strategically. Example: Nightfall on summoning pits, the part where your ghost essentially plays the role of Eugene from walking dead pretending he knows so much yet takes 15 minutes to open a door? Yeah, that's the part im referring to. When you hit the wave with all the Wizards, we step back into the doorway entrance to the room and pop the bubble and then fall back to the steps after luring the Wizards. They come flying in there all eager to mindlessly spam us with those arc beams, only to pass through the bubble and fly around blinded waving their arms like someone with a sheet over their head. By the same token, you can utilize the armamentarium to have two concussion grenades and effectively blind enemies momentarily, allowing many opportunities to kill them, get a better position, or flee. Even if you aren't using the blinding grenades, the titan has several other grenades like lightning grenades that can be used to funnel enemies or kill them in large groups; magnetic grenades during the lantern area of the raid for instance.

Depends on your play style, if you love throwing grenades, then get it. It's an okay piece and it will get you leveled faster, but I mainly use it in pvp IF I use it.

1 ReplyMake sure to buy three, because it is super rare and xur never sells it. If you buy three when you make two more titans later to reach 32 faster you won't have to juggle your inventory as much. Play smart and make the right investment in this super rare exotic while you still have the chance.

I liked it a lot but I have been going with the helm of saint 14 recently. Both have their advantages.

Yes you should get it if you can. Getting exotics for as many slots as you can early on will help you later. Even if the exotic has no worthwhile perks, it will still bump your level up better then legendaries. Higher level will allow you to do thing like nightfall and raid, and that will help you get better gear.

Sure get it I did...but it collects dust in my vault I think helmets give the best bonuses sometimes chest pieces. Id say for strikes or raids use helmet if your off doing random suptuff sure use that but...what's 2 grenades in the VoG or Croats end when u can blind anything that' comes in your bubble or do slot more damege even longer with your weops?

Absolutely! I have all the exotic pieces of armor for my Titan except one of the new ones I think and the Armimentium (sp?) is my go to when I'm playing as a striker it's great to be able to spam grenades plus you can carry more heavy ammo.

No just get ruin wings... arma is overrated.

Do it! The additional grenade and extra heavy weapons are worthwhile.

From my point of view, it's best to do like another poster said and buy different gear and rotate to find your setting of choice. Recently I bought the armormanterium 2.0 (trashed 1.0) but I also have the ruin wings maxed out. What I started doing was using the ruin wings and get as many heavy drops as possible then switch to the armormanterium.

Personally I think the Armentarium and Ruin wings are so far the best Titan exotics, sooo yea it's worth it. Extra heavy,special, and another grenade is so awesome. You can't get boots for heavy ammo anywhere except in raids and who know when rngesus will give you them. If ever does. Then the extra grenade is sweet. Especially with flash bangs. ;) Also has more discipline so grenades regen more quickly. Overall I suggest it and then to start saving marks for the helm, gauntlets and boots to get from the vanguard or crucible to get to 31. If you beat all of the quests for eris you earn gauntlets I'm quite sure so really you'd only have to buy helm n boots.

You most likely will need a helmet to reach 32 unless you get a helm to drop but it's a great piece love two grenades sharded my old one in favor of leveling mine up after I level up my second exotic helm (one for defender and striker).

Yes. It's the best piece of exotic armor in the game in my opinion. If nothing else it's the best for Titans.
